Christmas cheer has been well and truly underway in our Care Centre 🎄

Our residents have been busy bees in the lead-up to the big day, hand-making beautiful Christmas cards, baking up a storm with mince tarts and truffles, and crafting the cutest little chocolate reindeer you ever did see. 🦌🍫

And because they don’t stop at the kitchen bench, the garden beds are now prepped and ready, patiently waiting for summer planting. Festive, productive, and full of heart - just how we like it 💚

Can’t be bothered whipping up Christmas treats this year?

We’ve got you covered! Pop by the Café at Te Awa and check out the festive stall — packed with Christmas mince pies, white chocolate rocky road and chocolates.

The sounds of Christmas floated through the Care Centre courtyard last night as the Cambridge Brass Band treated our residents to a festive musical surprise 🎺🎄

With a medley of well-loved Christmas tunes, there were toes tapping, smiles all round, and plenty of happy humming along. The courtyard came alive with warmth, music and good cheer, and the band was truly appreciated by everyone who came along to enjoy the evening.

Up and down the lawns it roams,
Across Te Awa’s garden homes,
A quiet hum, no grumble heard -
It’s truly quite the perfect nerd.

Rain or shine, it doesn’t care,
Just trims the grass with robot flair.
A flash of orange, bright and sly,
A little smile as it rolls by.

With sunshine making lawns grow faster,
Our gardeners hail this mowing master -
A tireless helper, calm and clever,
Making life easier than ever. 🌿🤖✨
