🌺 Aroha in Action – Can You Help? 🌺

One of our amazing midwives is heading to the Cook Islands soon, and we’re putting the call out for donations of breastfeeding bras for our māmā in Rarotonga 💕

Maternity bras are very expensive and hard to access in the Cook Islands, and we’d love to send over some comfort and support from our community.

👚 Do you have any gently used (or new) breastfeeding bras to donate?
📏 Larger sizes are especially appreciated
✨ Clean and in good condition, please

Drop-off locations:
📍 Waterford Birth Centre – 27 Tisdall Terrace, Hamilton 3204 ( postal )
📍 Waterford Antenatal Hub – 6 Somerset Street, Frankton Hamilton
📬 Or post them to us / hand them to your midwife to bring in!

Let’s share the love from one mama to another 💖
Please share this post to help spread the word!

Edit: thanks so much everyone for your amazing generosity.
I think we’ll hit pause now and assess what we have. We have limited storage and need to figure out what to do with everyone’s generous donations.
I’ll update if we need anything else and will certainly ask our amazing community again when we have families in need.
Thank you all for your gifts and offers 🥰

Did you know that holding your baby skin-to-skin right after birth offers incredible benefits? Skin-to-skin helps regulate your baby's heart rate, breathing, and temperature, making them feel safe and secure. It also boosts your milk supply and releases oxytocin, the 'feel-good' hormone for both mum and baby. Whether you're breastfeeding or formula-feeding, this precious bonding time is vital for your baby’s development and your emotional connection. It's also a great trick for resetting when you have an upset baby so remember that you can use it well beyond the first 72 hours.
