A big congratulations to the four Therapists who spent 2 days learning how Kinesio Tape can influence all the body systems from epidermis to fascia to muscle and tight through to Tendons and Ligaments.
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the change from seeing Kinesio Tape as purely a treatment for muscles to seeing the whole range of conditions that this incredible Therapy system can help.
All the best to them for their return to their clinics with their new skills and for their exams to become Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioners.

Kinesio Taping Foundations Course Day one completed. My amazing therapists learnt so much about the body and how to facilitate it to move easier.
The most common comment was " I didn't realise that Kinesio tape could do all of this. There is so much to learn about it". And that was just Day one.

I get regularly asked by practitioners who are interested in learning Kinesio® Taping through our Foundations course whether they will be out of their depth. I hear this from Hand therapists, OTs, Physios, Osteopaths, Podiatrists and pretty much every different modality.

The term Foundations is exactly that. The Foundation Techniques for Kinesio® Taping. These are the techniques that can be used throughout the body. So the technique for Assessing, testing taping and reassesing the Upper Trapezius muscle or Pectoralis Major muscle can be used for the treatment of the Flexor Digitorum muscle ot the Gastronemius muscle.

The EDF - Epidermis, Dermis and Fascia taping technique may be shown in the class on the arm or thigh but it is equally at home on the back or the ankle.

The freedom that this course gives you is to take the many techniques for Epidermis, Dermis, Fascia- Deep and superficial, Lymphatics, Muscle, Tendon, Ligaments and Nerves, and be able to transfer them to your specific client demographic.

I have used Muscle and nerve taping on 3 week old babies with tortocollis, Fascia techniques post surgery on the hand of a 50 year old woman and of course pre and post game muscle taping techniques on College age rugby and Netball players.

Kenzo Kase - the creator of Kinesio® Taping was constantly learning from every "Body" that he worked on. He assessed the body, tested for the way in which the body wanted to be taped , taped and then retested. Thsi is the core to this course. The ability to assess, test, tape and retest to bring the body back to normality.

During this course I will ensure that the techniques are able to be adapted and explained how they are relevant to your own clientele.

The course is held over 2 days and has a 4 hour online pre-course component that must be completed before the course starts.
This course is designed for Allied Health professionals and Manual Therapists. Attendees will, at the end of the course and with the passing of an online test, be able to use the letters CKTP® -Certified Kinesio taping Practitioner.

This course will allow you to
🔸Learn the therapeutic application of corrective techniques: Fascia, Mechanical, Space, Functional,
🔸Learn the difference between an underactive and overactive muscle correction application.
🔸Identify appropriate tension range for each corrective technique.
🔸Describe the difference between a ligament correction and tendon correction.
🔸Learn Lymphatic and Scar Management Techniques.
🔸 Learn to use Muscle Direction Tests, Screening Assessments, and Corrective Techniques to treat complex injuries such as Whiplash, Shoulder Impingement, and Chronic Knee Pain.
