Listen up Mumma's and Bubs!

After a little break and a few persuasive people - I have made a decision that Mum and Bubs Yoga will be making a return to the studio timetable in June.

New parenthood is exhausting - sleepless nights, the physical demands of holding and feeding a baby, recovering from birth and rebuilding strength in overstretched (or overworked) muscles. Beyond the physical challenges, there's also the emotional and mental load that comes with this huge life transition.

That's why Mum's and Bubs yoga isn't just about movement - it's about supporting the healing process both mentally and physically.

Starts Wednesday 24th June
11am - 11.45am
Bookings can be made through my website.

Hey YB Yogi's

I know that booking your favourite class on a Monday or Friday morning has recently proven tricky for some of you, with some classes filling up weeks in advance.

I feel terrible when people miss out, or when I receive threats about people opening the garage door and practicing on the driveway. Hehe!

As a trial - I have now added an additional Gentle Yoga class to the schedule on a Wednesday at 9.30am.

Let's see if we can make it work and permanently place it on the schedule.

Hi 👋

I'm not normally one to follow social media trends - but I kind of like cartoon Ange!

It's been a beautiful start to 2026 yoga classes. With new people joining and others returning, I thought it was the perfect time over the next couple of weeks to reacquaint everyone with the classes and offerings of The Yoga Bungalow - and also a little bit about myself.

Let's start with me!
In 2018 I took the plunge and decided to do my Yoga Teacher Training. I knew very little about yoga and had only attended a couple of classes. At the time I was working within a Physiotherapy Clinic and they needed new Yoga Teachers. What the heck right! It was that leap of faith which has now provided me with the incredible love of yoga.

Some may call me a "Bad Yogi". I love wine a little too much, my brain has a tendency to run wild, I can't handstand, it makes me cringe seeing people in contortionist poses on social media and there are often weeks that I don't step on a mat for my own practice.

If you ask most people what yoga is, they'll tell you it's either a bunch of funny poses with animal names or advanced gymnastics that most people could never do. For me yoga is about calming the mind to connect with love in the heart.

I've grown, changed and developed so much since I started teaching in 2018. My passion is to make yoga accessible no matter the make or model of body that you might have. Let's not try and morph ourselves in to shapes which don't feel great. People are more important than poses, and I believe it's better to adapt a pose to a person than a person to a pose.

If you are still reading high five! 🙌

Thank you for all of your love and support.

I hate technology nearly as much as I hate running!

A few of you have been having issues with the bookamat system recently. I have found out today that a link needs to be changed behind the scenes. I'm sure you can imagine my face when I was told I needed to change something that I haven't touched for years 🙄. I believe this is only for people who access the booking link through my website.

Please bear with me as I try and work out what the heck I'm doing.

If you are having issues with booking - please let me know and I can book you from my end.

Namaste

❤️Prenatal Yoga❤️

Feeling a little nostalgic today and also as I'm doing this post, I have realised that I have failed miserably with getting any photos of the previous delightful bellies that have passed through the studio.

So you got my belly instead. This is me - heavily pregnant with our second baby. A beautifully challenging time. A lot of you know - when I was a little younger my dream had been to be a midwife. What I very quickly learned as I aged - Ange and lack of sleep don't mix well. As soon as I finished my Yoga Teacher Training, it became my mission to complete my Pre and Post Natal studies. These classes have now been a weekly staple in the studio for 6 years.

The first 6 week round of prenatal yoga starts this week.
Thursday evenings 6-7pm.
$120 for the 6 weeks.

If you are pregnant or know of someone who may be interested in joining this class - please reach out.

Happiest of new years to you all!

This little break has been about achieving as little as possible. Nowhere to be and nothing to do - except slow down.... And maybe consume a beverage or three 😉.

Monday 12th January will be the day the studio doors reopen. As always - we ease slowly in to the year before the full timetable returns. Classes are ready to be booked through bookamat.

Looking forward to another year of connection, breath and memories.

As the curtains close on 2025, it got me thinking a little about the journey that the last 12 months has provided and what may lay ahead. I'm not one to set New Year's resolutions because I hate the feeling of commitment 🫢. I prefer to reflect. 2025 certainly was a year for personal growth.

summed it up beautifully:

There's a beautiful Sanskrit word - mudita. It means finding joy in the happiness and good fortune of others. And in a world that teaches us to compete, mudita is radical and refreshing.
We're taught to measure ourselves against others and to see someone else's rise as proof of our fall. But their win isn't your loss and their happiness doesn't steal from yours. Mudita reminds us that joy is meant to be shared and that we don't become less by celebrating others. We become more: more grounded, more open and more connected to what matters. Because the more joy you allow yourself to feel for others, the more room you make to feel it within yourself. Their happiness doesn't threaten your journey. It affirms what's possible on yours.

Wishing you all a happy new year 🥂.

Stay safe and stay well x
