As Flourish St Kilda closes its doors, I am reflecting on the journey this has been. After 1,954 classes I, Erin, have taught at Flourish, it is now time to give my body (namely my arthritic hips) a slower, more compassionate pace.

The baton has now been passed to the lovely Laura who will be re-purposing the space to open a beautiful hair salon from late January, more on this to come.

We had a blast at our Christmas/farewell party on 10 Dec. Congratulations to Lynda who won the prize for the most classes in 2025, Sally for best dressed and Usha who won the member mystery prize - a print of choice from Raglan Photo Gallery.

Our last class on Christmas Eve came complete with fun partner yoga and a gratitude circle. We filled the space with intention, the ripple effect of peace from our own hearts, and out into the world. Appreciate all the love and hugs, it was quite emotional!

I am deeply grateful to every student, teacher, collaborator and supporter who made Flourish what it became. Endings are never easy, and while this chapter has ended, the impact, relationships and memories live on. Please stay connected as I will be keeping Flourish email, newsletters, website and socials going, we will just be evolving, with gentle offerings which will extend from Cambridge to Raglan.

I wanted to share some moments from our final classes and events. From a space that started out for movement, it became a space for so much more; people coming together for friendship, laughter, rest, healing, growth and belonging in a special community with genuine care for each other. Thank you for co-creating this with me. My heart is full.

🙏 Final 7 Days of Flourish St Kilda 🙏

Our final countdown is on and we wanted to share what’s coming as we gently close this chapter.

Join Mel for her last barre class this Thursday 18th at 6.30am before she heads back to South Africa for a well deserved holiday. Marisa is already soaking up the Perth sunshine. Roanna will be teaching her last dance fitness class this Thurs at 9.15am.

This Saturday 20 Dec we have our final event - Mav’s Move & Breathe, a chance for family and kids aged 2-8 years to enjoy festive fun together.

Look forward to seeing Kay for yoga Monday morning and evening and Jaimee for yoga this Thursday evening and next Tuesday evening, and then…

On our last day, Wednesday 24 Dec, Stacy will start your Christmas Eve feeling strong from 6am, then Erin is teaching a special final yoga class at 9.15am.
An opportunity to gather and honour everything this space has held.

🙏 STUDIO CLOSURE 🙏

Hello cherished Flourish community,

I’m writing with a very important update.

After much consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close Flourish Wellness Studio. The last day of classes will be on Wednesday 24 December 2025. The lease and space will be taken over late December by a new tenant who approached me and is opening a hairdressing salon.

A big part of this decision is my health. I have been diagnosed with hip dysplasia, causing early-onset osteoarthritis and requiring double hip replacement surgery, which has made it increasingly hard for me to teach and even simple movement like walking has become challenging.

If you are a Flourish member, your membership will automatically end on Wednesday 24 December. Punchpass will then issue refunds back to your card for any days you might have paid in advance.

If you are on a concession card you can either use this up between now and when we close or if you prefer a refund for any unused classes, please email me at hello@flourishwellnessnz.co.nz with your bank account number. Please request your refund by 24 December 2025.

All are warmly invited to continue attending as many classes as you like between now and right up to 24 December, everything will operate as normal.

Our wonderful teachers will also finish with Flourish on 24 December. I am very grateful for their expertise and genuine care for you all and their commitment in helping us close with integrity and compassion.

Flourish has been a place of connection and community for so many of us and I feel sad that this chapter is coming to a close but would love to stay in touch. I will be letting you know where you can find me and our teachers in future. I am so grateful for you all helping me to build this beautiful community. It has been a time of huge growth for me both personally and professionally and I am forever thankful for this opportunity.

Your support and contribution to Flourish has meant so much to me and I have been changed by this experience.
