Sakura Sanctuary Sakura Sanctuary is a health and wellbeing retreat set in the beautiful rolling hills of the Waikato At Sakura the only thing that matters to us is you.

You can visit Sakura as a day guest on one of our courses or scheduled events, a retreat guest, or simply spend some time enjoying our luxurious accommodation and beautiful surroundings as a homestay guest. We offer gentle yoga, meditation, bed and a continental breakfast as part of our homestay package. Sakura is available for hire as function venue, we love accommodating bridal parties too. Set on 12 acres , the property was designed according to Vastu principles. Vastu is an ancient Indian science of architecture and pertains to the physical, psychological and spiritual order of the built environment in consonance with the cosmic energies. Nestled in amongst a planting of a 100 cherry blossom trees, Sakura is a safe haven. A place of beauty, comfort and peace. Sakura is the perfect place for romance to blossom under the shade of our cherry blossom trees

As a retreat guest at Sakura you will meet a team of loving souls who understand how stressful life can be, how emotion can impact the body, and how food and exercise nourish and heal. We are committed to guiding you on a path that leads you to deep self enquiry, a healthy body, a balanced mind and ultimately a contentment and appreciation of all life. Along the way, you will study the art of mindfulness: how to relax, de stress , and be more present and joyful in your life. You will learn ways of eating that nourish and support your wellbeing. On the menu you will find delicious organic fusion meals inspired by NZ and exotic far off lands. You may even learn how to cook a meal or two! You will also be taught how to listen to your body, love your body and move in ways that energise, heal and invigorate you. If you are experiencing sadness. We understand, we all do. We are here for you. In a safe space you will be supported to be with your emotions in a way that inspires transformative change, encourages the breaking of negative repetitive cycles, and brings peace. At Sakura we only work with small groups, enabling us to focus on each person, and making sure that you have all the support you need to heal. And if thats not enough of a journey…

The girl who was always too much of one thing,

I was driving home today from a little trip away and as I got closer to home, rainbows started appearing. I know a few people who are going through some hard things right now. And I just wanted to say don’t forget to look up. One day the sky will open up and show you beautiful rainbows. Things may be a little bumpy right now, but if you keep your eyes to the sky you might realise that even the moments that seem insurmountable pass. The clouds will open for you. The rainbows are coming. Hang on. 🤗
