Join us for a special evening celebrating the launch of The Little Book of Mantras — a photographic journey through India and Nepal, capturing quiet moments of devotion, connection, and resilience.

The event features a curated exhibition of 15 framed monochrome stills from the book, alongside copies available for purchase.

Enjoy a glass of non-alcoholic bubbly, traditional Nepalian food, and ambient music as we gather in good company. During the evening, Ritchie will share stories about Sangita and her family in Jiri, Nepal — a young girl whose strength and spirit helped inspire this collection.

✨ 10% of all proceeds from the night will go directly toward supporting Sangita’s ongoing education.

We warmly invite you to be part of this celebration — a night of storytelling, reflection, and heart.
Namaste.

Meet Sangita.
Quiet in presence but fierce in purpose, Sangita is one of the most dedicated young students I’ve ever encountered. I met her while staying with her family in Jiri, Nepal—her father was my guide on the Manaslu trek. Over seven days, I witnessed a rhythm of unwavering commitment: waking at 4:00am, helping her mother prepare breakfast, walking an hour and a half to school in the dark, studying all day, returning home to help with chores, and then repeating it all again—weekends included, often with six or more hours of study.

When I spoke at her school, I asked her classmates about their dreams. Their answers revealed a deep sense of family, pride, and the transformative power of education. It moved me deeply. Before I left, I made a promise—to support Sangita in pursuing her dream of studying abroad.

This is why Little Book of Mantras exists not just as a source of daily inspiration, but as a vessel of hope.
10% of every book sold will go directly towards Sangita’s education fund.

Together, we can help a determined young woman step closer to her dream.
Aim Shanti Shanti Shanti.

After 18months of preperation, I attempted 108 repititions of the Hanuman chalisa. This chant, or prayer is 50 verses in Hindi that is chanted to relieve suffering and remove blockages. Not only chanted for oneself, you can also dedicate the practice to others.
Each line of the Hanuman chalisa, is regarded as a maha (great) mantra. Chanting one chalisa takes approximately 8mins. I began by waking at 3am, packing my car with necessities and by the time I transported my gear to the wooden teepee at New Brighton beach and lit my puja light, the clock read 4:30am. I chanted for 5 hours straight, before my wonderful partner brought me breakfast, then chanted for another 3 and a half hours, before she was back with lunch. The last 5 hours was only interupted by my sister Anne coming down to give me coffee and cake. I think my appearance on the beach as a guy constantly mumbling to himself must of alarmed the poor residents of South New Brighton 😆

When I finished the second last chalisa, the clock read 5pm. For the last chalisa, I chanted the Sri Ram Chalisa with my Harmonium, where every line is sung combined with the chant of Sri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram.
It was 5:30pm when I finished. The look on my face was one of relief, joy, exhaustion and gratitude for my life. Thank you Suzie & Anne for your support. It wouldn't have been possible without your care, enthusiasm and help ❤️🤩🕉
