Flu Vaccinations available at Casebrook Surgery from 1st April

Appointments are available in clinic from 3rd of April while stocks last. We will be hosting a one-off Saturday flu clinic on 1st of April from 9am-1:30pm. We encourage all registered patients to have their flu jab at Casebrook Surgery rather than using an outside provider as it allows us to ensure accurate health records and follow up if required.

Influenza can be very serious and even fatal; everyone is at risk regardless of age and fitness. In 2017 1 in 4 New Zealanders caught the flu. Catching the flu can affect work and school schedules, holidays and social activities, and even financial and mental health. The immunisation prepares your body to fight off infection and lessens your risk of becoming sick or passing on sickness.

In 2023 the flu jab is FREE for:

Children 6 months to 12 years old.
Anyone 65 years and over.
Māori and Pasifika people 55 years and over.
Pregnant people.
People with long term conditions, including mental health and addiction.
If you believe you should be eligible for a funded immunisation talk to reception when booking.

This year there is also a second vaccination option available for those 65 years and older. FLUAD® Quad is the only flu vaccine containing MF59® Adjuvant, designed to help your body create more antibodies to help fight influenza. For those over 65 years it provides more protection for longer. This option is unfunded, talk to reception when you book in.

Thank you for all your support in 2022. In December 2021, we moved locations and have enjoyed settling into our new home this year. During the holiday period, Casebrook Surgery will be open as normal except for Public Holidays, however it will be with reduced staffing as they take a well deserved break.

On the days we are not open the following after hours options are available:
Practice Plus- We have recently joined with trusted partner Practice Plus as an After Hours provider. Practice Plus is a New Zealand registered company where patients can go online and book a video or phone consult with registered GP’s. They are available from 8am-8pm Public Holidays and Weekends, and from 5pm-10pm weekdays.

We are running short of appointments. Please cancel any appointments that you no longer require. Cancellations up to of 4 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time will be Free. Otherwise, you may incur an admin fee of $25 for late cancellations or no-shows. Casebrook Surgery offers friendly, supportive, and caring environment with a collaborative team. As a receptionist you are the first impression our patients have. We are looking for someone who prioritises patient needs. On the job training will be provided. You will work closely with the team to provide an efficient, effective, and professional service.

Our ideal candidate will:

Experience in the following is advantageous but not essential:

General Practice experience.
