Ever feel pretty sure you're doing good stuff, but it takes hearing someone else say you're doing good stuff to make it actually feel real? πŸ€”

Aaawww shucks Anne ... you just filled our collective bucket πŸ₯°

Oooohhh look! πŸ‘€ Our lad Mitch (newest of our Peer Support Team) is famous! 😎 We're super excited for him - and if he's anywhere near as effective on the court as he is with peer support, the Wheel Blacks are gonna ace the competition πŸ₯³
(... We're also a little surprised to discover he has a full head of hair under his ball caps! 😝)

When Mitch Simpson takes to the court for the Wheel Blacks in front of his parents and 11-year-old son at the WWR 2025 Asia Oceania Wheelchair rugby Championship in Bangkok, Thailand this week (20-24 November), there will be few prouder people in Aotearoa New Zealand.Β  After experiencing a challeng...

Ask anyone and they'll tell you ... I am not a fan of horror movies or anything scary πŸ‘»
So when I say Christmas is only 6 weeks away - it's not for the fright-factor.πŸŽ…πŸŽπŸ€―
We are wrapping at The Palms Shopping Centre again this year (starting December 6th) and I still have a few spots to fill.
If you're in Christchurch and think you could help out, take a look at the roster ... it's a whole lot of fun, your wrapping skills get a great workout and it raises money for the work we do here. Win, win, win 😎

If the corridor seems a tad quiet this week, it's probably because Andrew, Brett and Meika are off gallivanting round the south ... stopped in at Timaru. What a good looking bunch! 😎
Today they're heading into McKenzie Country ...
(Sorry - did I say gallivanting? I meant to say engaging in very serious peer support work ... because an awful lot of stuff can be shared and solved over a good cup of coffee πŸ₯°β˜•)

What an awesome couple of days we had to end last week ... our Culture Club days bring the whole team together and we. Love. It. πŸ₯°
These days not only keep us on track as a team, they're an opportunity to share our mahi and aroha with our Keystone Partners:
Able Axcess
Access Community Health
Milner Mobility
Permobil New Zealand
Our fundraiser, Su, presented each of them with a small gift to acknowledge the support we give each other πŸ©΅πŸ’›
(And I think we can all agree that if we tied up Su's hands, she'd be muted ... 🀣)

Another Funding Friday to share ...
Our funding doesn't always come through big Trusts or companies ... more often than not it comes through individuals who get what we're about, and decide to support us in a very practical way - fundraise on our behalf πŸ₯°
We've had many over the years - all of them awesome, but for today's Funding Friday post I'm sharing Nicola's campaign:
Nicola sustained an SCI when she was 12, as a result of an accident. She was fortunate enough to regain almost all function and in a couple of weeks time she's going to walk the Queenstown Half Marathon, raising money for our work.
If you are able - check out her Fundraising Fun! campaign page ... maybe encourage her with a donation πŸ˜‰
Thanks Nicola ... and all those who have walked, run, cycled, baked cakes, pushed themselves to their limits over the years to help fund our work.
We love you all! πŸ©΅πŸ’›

My challenge is doing the Queenstown Marathon – Saturday 15th November 2025.

Well my goodness ... wasn't expecting this after a warm and wonderful Labour Weekend.🌞
Popped my nose outside the portacom just now and it's snowing! ❄️
Wonder if I could sneak away home and get the fire going, maybe a hot chocolate to sip on ...πŸ”₯β˜•
Where ever you are - hoping you're staying warm and dry πŸ©΅πŸ’›

Happy Funding Friday! πŸ₯³πŸ˜
Pardon? You've never heard of it? ... That might be because I just made it up πŸ˜‰
But we'd like to share with you some of the people, organisations and businesses that share our vision and support our work.
Let's kick it off with our Keystone Partners ...
Able Axcess
Access Community Health
Milner Mobility
Permobil New Zealand

They are whānau and we love them πŸ©΅πŸ’› Together we achieve awesome stuff! πŸ†

Ever looked at an organisation's Values and thought "Really? πŸ™„"
Then wondered if any of their team have seen them ...

Well, here's a look at ours ... and I think you'll agree ...

Yes. Our team have.
Really πŸ˜‰

Or in the email signature of our Peer Support team.
And you may have asked yourself ... who?
The Hugo Charitable Trust are based in the Arrowtown area. Maryanne Green and the team are carrying on the generous work her father, Hugh (Hugo), was passionate about during his lifetime.
We're thrilled that they're sending their generosity our way to support the awesome Peer Support work going on all over the country.
