Love was definitely in the air at the Valentine's Day market last week! A huge thank you to all of the lovely community who joined us and shared the love, it was wonderful seeing so many smiling faces at Riverlution

For this Saturday's market, we are sad to announce that it will be Nourish Oraka's last day with us, for the foreseeable future. We've loved having them as part of our market whānau so please come and say hi and show them some love. Nevertheless, keep an eye on our page for news on future collaborations.

We are thrilled to welcome Quaility for the first time. They are bringing some beautiful fresh quail eggs, be sure to come early to not miss out!

🌟 Riverlution Café 🌟

What a start to the year it’s been! While the weather has brought its fair share of challenges (a few more rainy days than we’d have liked), we’ve still packed plenty of wairua, laughter, and connection into the sunny ones.

In January, we gave our Crafternoon a little twist, moving from casual hangouts to include some learning and skill-sharing for tamariki and whānau. It’s been such a treasure! We were joined by the wonderful Simon from White Room Creative Space, who led a printing workshop. Tamariki and parents gathered their favourite leaves and flowers from the garden and turned them into beautiful ink prints. On other days, our Café Cultivator Clí shared all kinds of crafty delights—teaching whānau how to make plant hangers, pompoms, and simple jewellery. The mahi (work) and creativity shared all month was simply delightful, and we can’t wait to offer more opportunities for our community to learn and create together.

Our Saturday morning Farmers’ Markets kicked off again on 10 January. To celebrate, Clí ran a special Hooplah workshop where participants learned to make their own hula-hoops from simple materials—accessible for everyone. It was so popular, we ran out of supplies! Keep an eye on our socials for the next chance to hoop with us.

This month also brought a hive of excitement—literally! Tracy got all suited up for some beekeeping, and alongside Hayley, she marked the queens of our garden hives. A real delight for Tracy, who has a special love for our buzzing friends, and it’s always a joy to see our whānau exploring other areas of garden mahi.

As we move into February, we’ll be farewelling a couple of our café legends, including coffee whiz Olivia and all-round superstar Femke. Pop down soon to share a cuppa and celebrate their next adventures! Don’t worry though—our remaining crew are staying put, ready to keep your café experience as warm and welcoming as ever.

Ngā mihi nui for your continued support.

We look forward to seeing you soon—maybe at Riverlution Yoga on a Sunday morning, a Tuesday Crafternoon hang, or anywhere in between.

Let’s keep growing, learning, and sharing together this year!
