My approach is flexible to fit each family and takes an ecologi
cal strengths-based approach. I work hard to make the process fun and engaging for the child. My office is adjacent to my home in Sumner, however by arrangement I can also assess children in a quiet and distraction free room at school or occasionally in their own home if this ensures they are more at ease. Assessments are most accurate when they take place in the morning when the child is most alert, and when they are completed at the pace of the child, taking extended breaks or testing over multiple sessions if required. All assessments include a written report containing: developmental history, current functioning, assessment results, evidence-based and practical recommendations.
