If you have days where you have a constant feeling of being behind, or like there’s not enough time, even when nothing urgent is actually happening - don't worry - there’s nothing wrong with you!!
It’s just a nervous system state ♥️
When our nervous system is under stress, our brain shifts into survival mode 🧠
In this state, the body prioritises speed, scanning, and efficiency because it thinks we might need to react quickly to find safety.
One of the side effects of this is something called time contraction 🏎️
Time doesn’t actually speed up - but our perception of it does.
The brain filters out rest, pleasure, and pauses, because they’re not considered ‘useful’ for survival.
That’s why everything can feel rushed, even on days when your schedule looks reasonable!
