Exercise Guidelines for Pregnancy

Keeping active during pregnancy has many physical and wellbeing benefits both for mum and the growing baby.

If you are healthy and your pregnancy is low risk, general guidelines for exercise during pregnancy are:

•To aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate intensity exercise per week, throughout your pregnancy
•To include muscle/ strength training activities, aiming for twice a week

It is important to listen to your body, and we believe it is best to seek individual, expert advice on trimester appropriate exercise plans.

Liberty Pelvic Health Physio is here to help you keep active throughout your pregnancy. Book in an antenatal assessment today with one of our expert Pelvic Health Physios for personalised exercise guidance and support during your pregnancy.
