As 2024 comes to a close, we wanted to update you on the progress of the TwinGene Study and once again thank you for your invaluable contribution.
Thanks to your support, we’ve had an incredible year! Our study now includes 517 participants , and we’re excited to share that all the collected samples have been successfully genotyped.
What does genotyping mean?
Genotyping is a way of studying DNA to identify small variations in genes. For this study, it helps us explore the genetic factors involved in having non-identical twins.
There are still a number of people who have completed the survey but have not returned a saliva kit – these kits are incredibly stable, and if you still have yours, we would love to add your sample to our completed list! If you have lost your saliva kit but still wish to complete the study, we will happily send you a new one.
We’re excited to explore this data further and discover what it reveals—your participation could help us unlock important insights into the genetics of non-identical twins and fertility.
As we wrap up the year, we want to wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season. Thank you for being such an essential part of this journey!
