🎶I had a lovely time this afternoon at the Anthony Wilding Happy Hour. I took the time out today to spend time with my mum and the other residents at the rest home. Neville Barrie was playing, he has been around for many years, a great entertainer and singer. He is 84 and still going strong.
❤️What a wonderful inspiration he is to everyone. He has a great sense of humor, was telling jokes and really engaging with the residents. Such a lovely man. I could see how well they all related to him and the music. So great for everyone's souls. He said he plays 5 days a week at different rest homes and retirement villages. Music has definitely kept him young. It's so important to have something to connect to as you get older, it keeps you young and inspired😃.
🎶 He sung "Take me Home Country Roads", which was my dad's funeral song, so I felt my Dad was around me. I was out dancing on the weekend and this song was sung too, so I feel my dad is really letting me know he is around, which is very comforting. Do take note when certain songs or other things and memories come up, they aren't just coincidences, your lovde ones may be trying to get in touch with you🪽🪶🩵.
