🏔️🔥 COAST TO COAST 2026 🔥🏔️

This weekend our very own Ben (Senior Sports Podiatrist) teamed up with 💪 Maddy – reception superstar (and Ben's daughter) along with 💉 Jacqui – x-HSC nurse and cycling Legend🚴‍♀️

…to take on the iconic Kathmandu Coast to Coast in team style under the name:👉 CHAFING THE DREAM 👈

From river crossings to road miles, mountain passes to kayak stages — they pushed through grit, fatigue, questionable decisions, and probably a fair bit of actual chafing 😅

But most importantly?
They showed exactly what we stand for at the clinic:

🔥 Turning big goals into reality

Safe to say the team might be moving a little slower this week… but spirits are HIGH 🙌

Congrats to both of our sports podiatrists, Ben and Sarah, who completed the Crater Rim Ultra last weekend. Sarah raced the 30km for the first time, and Ben smashed another 53km - his 4th time round!

🎉🏃‍♂️ HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR SENIOR SPORTS PODIATRIST BEN LAMB! 🏃‍♂️🎉

Recently, Ben took on the ultimate test of endurance — a Backyard Ultra — and absolutely smashed it, running for 24 hours straight and covering a mind-blowing 100 miles (160km)! 😱💪🔥

For those who don’t know, a Backyard Ultra is no ordinary race. It’s a relentless challenge where competitors run a 6.7km loop every hour on the hour, with no finish line… The race only ends when there’s just one runner left standing! 😅⏰

Both our podiatrists, Sarah and Ben, ran in the Skedaddle race held in the Hurunui last weekend. They've said what a great race it was, with stunning scenery and some epic climbs. Would highly recommend to any trail runners out there!
