Have you had an avocado-related injury? 🥑

According to ACC, Kiwis’ wrists, hands, fingers, and thumbs suffer the most, with the top cause of injury being a puncture or laceration 🔪

So, how can you avoid your hand being in a losing battle with a rouge knife? 😮‍💨
🥑 Pick a ripe avo so it's softer and easier to cut
🥑 Grab a good avo tool - typically includes a slicer and a pit remover
🥑 When removing the pit with a knife, place the avocado half on the cutting board, pit-side up. With caution, tap the knife blade into the pit, then twist and lift to remove it (Don't stab down to the pit with the knife point - that's how the majority of injuries occur
