You Are Your Thoughts.
Your life is a reflection of your thoughts.

This might be a hard pill to swallow (depending on how you look at it).
How ‘Clean’ are your thoughts?
Are they covered in regret, self-disappointment, hate, fear, bitterness or shame?
What if they were dripping with love, respect, desire, integrity, satisfaction or joyfulness?
How often do you find yourself in your own head and your worst critic. How do you speak to yourself and would you speak to a friend or loved one like that? So why do we do it to ourselves and how do we change it.

We need to clean our thoughts. Get rid of the s**t show of negative thoughts and bring in the possibilities that can and will unfold in your life. You feel, then your think and then your get what you think about.
Feelings are not the issues. It is the thoughts that go with them. The feelings are what they are meant to be. But you do not need to go down the rabbit hole of compounding the crappy thoughts. Start cleaning your thoughts into something more useful. I am loving the use of the words ‘What If’ when I clean my thoughts. What if I have a great day today. What if I am calm and energetic today. What if my kids rub off on my good vibes this morning and we get the day started with ease. What if I am happy all day today.

What if you tried this? What if you start seeing things differently. What would you start to desire if you knew that your thoughts get you what you want. If you think about the past and all the things that went wrong and concentrate on the future and what could possible spin out of control – you will get more of just that.
What if you cleaned up your thoughts and started creating the life that you truly desire. What if in 12 months, 2year, 5years 10years you are exactly where you want to be. What if you move into your dream house. What if you find your perfect job/career. What if you have the most beautiful relationship with your family. What if you feel super healthy and beaming with joy. What if you travel the world. What if you find your love partner you have always been looking for. What if your current relationship skyrockets to the next level. What if you are in control of it all and can get it all. What if there is no stopping you. What if… What if… What if
Notice in your body how it feels with your What if’s. Notice how different it feels to belittling yourself and not moving forward thinking there is something wrong with you. There is nothing wrong with you… change the strategy and get new results.

Choose to change your thoughts, choose the life you desire, choose to be happier, choose to be healthier… choose it all…
Get it all…

Feel the crap that DOESN’T feel good.
Damn! We all get those feels at time.
How amazing does it feel to accomplish something like study or get a promotion? Or how joyful does it feel doing something fun like spending quality time with family and friends - including the random laughing fit with your mother in the middle of the Opera? How excited to you get when you buy something new like car you have always wanted or on the way to get that sushi that you can’t get enough of? You are happy to have these feelings, right? Because they feel good.
What about the feeling that don’t feel so good? What are you doing with them? Supressing them. Ignoring them. Bottling them up. All you are doing is saving them up for another day… (let that sink in).
What if I was to tell you that its ok to Feel your Feelings.
‘WHAT’ you say…
Yes, give yourself permission to feel your feelings… Like properly FEEL them. Don’t shy away from them. When something comes up that creates you to feel a way that is less desirable… Feel IT! Grow some big old grown-up balls or put on ya big girl panties and feel them!
When you push these feelings away you creating moments of compounded emotions/feelings.
You start out with one feeling like disappointment in yourself… you don’t feel it… then another feeling compounds onto… like frustration… then another one on top like resentment… and so on and so on.
Feel the disappointment. It’s OK to feel disappointed. This can help you to make changes or adjust your methods or behaviour getting you closer to what you desire. Keep feeling the feelings till you feel better. This makes letting go so much easier. Then once you have felt the feelings, ask yourself ‘what is one thing I can do now to get me closer to whatever the feeling or thing is, that I desire instead?

You are in control. I will say that again YOU ARE IN CONTROL. Like when you are driving a car, you are the one in control. Other influences can be around but you are in control of the car you are driving, so control it.
You can control your thoughts also. This creates a new level of emotional intelligence.

I remember the morning I was going back to work from my 3rd lot of maternity leave a few months back.
I felt a panic attack coming on. For me, it feels like my chest is caving in. There is a terrible pressure on my chest and breathing becomes difficult. I have to kind of close one eye to be able to concentrate on whatever I am doing at the time for some reason. I get hot and teary eyed during the process. I generally cannot speak or take on anyone else’s energy good or bad.
I had this terrible anxiety from leaving another child while I went back to work. I could not shake the feeling and thoughts that I was a bad mum and I was making a mistake. All pretty legit feelings though.
Instead, what I did is I took a moment for myself. I went to my room by myself and sat on the bed and allowed myself to have a panic attack and have a big cry. But something else happened… there was NO panic attack just some tears. I had stopped the panic attack dead in its track because I allowed myself to feel the feelings I had.
Say what! This is huge for me; I stopped my panic attack. And I don't mean I supressed it. It actually went away for good. Not lurking around another situation waiting for its ugly head to pop up and when I mean ugly, I mean ugly. Hysterical uncontrollable crying and hyperventilating not being able to breath - not fun to say the least.
Instead I got all the feels and emotions out and collected myself back up again. I went on with the day. How quick was that! Historically, I would have keep supressing those feelings for the rest of the day and I know for sure I would have lost the plot sometime during the day because it wanted to come out. But I didn’t.
What an amazing feeling to switch that usual process so much. I have some pretty quick and effective tools I use these days to help me with what is going on. I love that I can switch things so quickly.

Feel the feels, acknowledge them, let them go, think about what you do desire and then move on.

I am constantly working on myself to do things in a more construtive way. I don't nail it all the time and that is ok. I feel that too! Perfection is not a goal. Improvement is.

Metaphor Friday

'How Heavy is a Glass of Water'

You could be trying to work out the weight in grams and then how much water is in the glass and is the glass really made of glass or is it plastic.
How about the weight and the content of the glass is actually irrelevant?
How heavy is it after 1 or 2 minutes holding onto the glass. Not so bad right, nothing too noticeable.
What if you had been holding it for an hour. Might be starting to get quite heavy and feel a bit of pain.
What if you held the glass out straight for a week? Cramping and aches and pains galore!
So much concentration in not dropping that glass... the longer you hold it the heavier it becomes, right?
Ever have thoughts or worries like that? You think about them a bit and not too heavy but if you think about them for such long periods of time they can become unbearable.

It might be time to let go of some things and lessen the weight on your mind.

'Tipping' Tuesday is here!

What tips do I have today?
Last time I spoke of Strategy and changing it up to get what you want.

Today 'Choices'...
We all have them… do we use them the best way we possibly could?
Think about something you had to choose lately. What you had for dinner last night. How about what clothes you wore to work. What about where you live or the kind of work you do?
There are some things that 'happen to you' which are out of your control. How you react to them is a Choice.

When you start to realise that there are more things in your life that you could be making different or better Choices about, you can start to gain your Power and Energy back.
Think about a time where you made a Choice where you think you could have made a better one. You cannot change what happened in the past, you can however learn from it so you make different Choices in the future. Thus, getting you closer to what you want or exactly what you want!

Where your future leads, is hugely decided by the Choices You Make.
Take Back Your Power, Gain More Energy and Choose YOU AND WHAT YOU WANT AND NEED.

Welcome back to Mindset Monday!

Last time I spoke about what Mindset was.
I guess the next question would be 'how do you use it?'.
In Short - Your Mind is made up of your Subconscious/Automatic Mind (Breathing, Heart Rate, Digestive System, Immune System, Reproductive System and Storing Memories) and your Conscious/Thinking Mind (Thinking, Analysing, Problem Solving, Making judgements and Decisions). The Subconscious is 90% and Conscious is the other 10%.

Did you know that your Subconscious Mind CANNOT process things in the Negative?
Also, your Subconscious Mind is designed to give you you want and to protect you.
So, if you keep telling yourself all the things you don't want in life, guess what will happen - you will get them!
Just like if you put into your GPS 'don’t take me to Hamilton' where do you think it will take you... Hamilton - the Subconscious works in the same way.
How do we start getting more of what you want?
Start asking for it, in the way you want it RATHER than the way you DON'T.
For Example:
'I am so Lazy’ instead use something like 'I have time for things that are priority right now'.
‘I don’t want to eat that bad food’ instead – I am choosing to eat something healthy.
‘I hate my job’ – I am in the process of finding the right job for me.
Imagine not giving yourself such a hard time and accepting that you are doing what is right for you in that moment. When you are kinder to yourself your energy is lighter and less of a heavy weight you put on yourself.
Have you ever felt like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders? Start speaking to yourself like you don’t have to carry that weight - they are your shoulders and you can fill or decrease that weight as you please.
Start with speaking better to yourself and see how you get on.

It is amazing how Negative we are to ourselves in our own heads. Would you ever speak to anyone else like that? I would guess most likely not. So why do we do it to ourselves?
It is however, something that can be worked on and improved :)

This Top Tip will help you get exactly what you want.

Strategy + Action = Goal
So, you have a Goal that you are working on but you are possibly struggling to reach that Goal. You may feel that it is impossible to get there or it is just too hard.
In everything we do you are using a Strategy to get there. Sometimes the issue is not lack of Motivating, or you are lazy or you picked something that is too hard.
If you are not making Progress towards your Goals – you must change the STRATEGY!
You keep changing the Strategy until you find what works to reach your Goal. What works for one may be different to another. You need to find what works best for you.

Today I realised that I must change part of my Strategy to reach my Half Marathon goal in Dec.
I am completely lacking energy in the gym. I could say that it is not possible and that I am trying to do something bigger than what I am capable. But the TRUTH is, I just need to change my Strategy.
I look at what will affect my energy and the first thing that comes to mind is Food. Food = Energy. The key is the type of food. I have a New Strategy which is to get more Energy through Food. This gives me my new ACTION to change my Diet.
Now I work on this New Strategy to help me reach my GOALS!

Welcome to Mindset Monday!

I get quite a lot of people asking what a Mindset Coach is. The best way to understand is to know what Mindset is first.
Dictionary - Noun 'the established set of attitudes held by someone'
Mindset is a person’s way of thinking and their opinion.
Your mindset plays a significant role in determining life’s outcomes.

So, what does a Mindset Coach do?
Help those who maybe feel stuck and want to move forward more quickly and easily.
Focus on clients existing beliefs and patterns of thinking and use tools and techniques to help change negative thinking patterns.
Help to release emotions and limiting beliefs making stepping forward much easier.
