The bottle feeding advice I see floating around? A lot of it belongs in the bin. 🗑️
The stuff passed down from well-meaning (but very opinionated) family members. The old wives’ tales that have been recycled for generations. The unsolicited advice from someone who fed their baby 30 years ago and is very confident about it.
And then there’s the content created by bottle brands, companies with a product to sell, not a baby to feed.
No IBCLCs. No neonatal nurses. Nobody who actually understands the mechanics of how babies feed.
So when your baby is gagging, gulping, gassy, or refusing the bottle and nothing you try is working, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.
It’s because the advice was never built around your baby in the first place.
You deserve support from someone who actually knows what they’re talking about. 💛
I built a bottle feeding course, developed by an IBCLC + neonatal nurse (hi 👋) because this stuff matters, and you shouldn’t have to piece it together from the internet and your mother-in-law. Comment ‘bottle’ for the link
