🥵 ☀️ 🌊 Hot day hydration 🍊 🍋🌿
On hot days, plain water often isn’t enough to properly hydrate you because sweating doesn’t just deplete fluid — it also drains essential minerals like sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Without these electrolytes, water can’t move efficiently into your cells, leaving you feeling tired, foggy, crampy, or still thirsty even after drinking lots of water. A simple homemade electrolyte drink helps replace both fluid and minerals, supporting energy, muscle function, and proper nervous system balance.
Simple Hydration Drink:
Mix freshly squeezed orange juice, 2+ oranges and lemon juice ( 1 lemon ), to 1 -1.5litres of water. Add a 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt for sodium and trace minerals, plus a pinch to 1/4 teaspoon of cream of tartar for natural potassium support. Stir / shake well and sip throughout the day for gentle, natural hydration.
🌿⚡For times where extra punchy hydration is needed for recovery or replacement like long haul flights, illness, prolonged exercise or hiking etc, change in weather.
I have a super clean, all natural alternative to the sugar laden options available in the chemist and supermarket.
