WeVisit

WeVisit WeVisit is all about connecting generations. WeVisit emerged from the observation that generations young and old have heaps to offer one another.

We match energetic, practical and dependable visitors to help with odd jobs, teach basic computer and device skills, and work on creative projects together. During the earthquake, young members of the Student Volunteer Army made life long connections with older community members while they helped clean up. WeVisit is the next iteration of that movement. Now that there isn't an earthquake, doesn't

mean we should stop helping each other out. WeVisit runs a service that helps older community members. Our visitors do anything WITH the people they visit. This means they make the personal connection, and enable the person they visit to keep living a purposeful, independent life. We work on anything practical from gardening, cleaning and cooking; to fun things like craft projects and memoir writing; to technical things like helping learn or up-skill on the computer, iPad, or phone. We want our younger generation to learn from the life experience of the older generation, while lending a hand and getting some work and life experience that will help them in their future. Get in touch and chat about how WeVisit may be able to help you or an older family member.
