Our essential oil selection is vast — and pretty legendary. If (and it's a big if) we don't have what you're looking for then we can almost certainly source it.

Our primary supplier is Zurma Botanical Oils — a Christchurch-based business whose owner Jytte is a familiar face to many of our perfumery students. Their certified organic oils are single-source distilled, Biogro certified, and every batch is tested with COA and GCMS analysis — so you know what you're getting is great quality. These local oils make me so happy!

I have a beautiful climbing jasmine at my front door, and yesterday when I left the house I was reminded of how good it smells.

Jasmine essential oil is a highly prized botanical extract known for its rich, intoxicating, and sweet floral aroma. Extracted from delicate night-blooming flowers, it is celebrated in aromatherapy and perfumery for its mood-lifting properties and its ability to soothe dry skin. Blossoms are harvested at night, before the sun rises, as this is when the aroma is at its absolute strongest.

Motherhood is a lot of things - the most amazing gift, a huge responsibility, a lot of work, and something I try never to take for granted.

I often think of that duck analogy. Calm on the surface, but just below it? Completely frantic. There's a never-ending list running in your head - after-school activities, meals, groceries, washing, work, and through all of it, showing up with love and support each day.

It can feel thankless sometimes. But let me tell you — you are so important.

You are raising this world's future. Someone's future partner. Possibly someone's future mum or dad. You are doing it tough, and hopefully one day you'll look back and think - I really did a good job there.

To every mum out there - I think you are absolutely amazing.

Enjoy today. You deserve it. 🤍 ...and I hope your breakfast in bed was edible x
