Everyone has toxins in their bodies. No matter how many changes to exercise, fluid intake or lifestyle are made, toxins will never be completely removed.

Osteopathy adjustments can help release toxins that have built up in the body over time.

Osteopaths use techniques like soft tissue release and manipulation to help improve circulation to the affected area. This in turn will help with drainage of toxins and bring nutrition to the area to aid healing.

Releasing toxins can also help to reduce lack of energy, headaches, acne, minor aches, restlessness, digestive issues and some allergies.

Many people start a fitness campaign full of enthusiasm. Sometimes injuries occur when there is a sudden rather than paced increase in duration, intensity or frequency of activity.

Many soft-tissue injuries can be avoided through proper training and equipment.
Remember to warm up and down and keep hydrated. Don't do too much too fast and schedule some rest days.

Osteopathy can help with chronic or acute fitness-related injuries so if you need help with an injury or just general maintenance, book online at osteo.co.nz or phone 03 355 6166

Tendonitis is when a tendon is inflamed. It can happen to any tendon in the body but it is most common around shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and heels. It can cause pain and make daily tasks challenging.

In many cases tendonitis will not heal by itself and if left alone the pain can worsen.

Your osteopath will give advice on at-home exercises and treat with stretching and massage techniques.

To find out more, read our blog at https://osteo.co.nz/tendonitis/.

Only a couple of weeks of school holidays left and the build up to the new school year is on for many households. Uniforms, stationery and lunchboxes are flying off the shelves.

It is also a good time to book your child in to see an osteopath before the hustle and bustle of the school year. Book in for a check up or to treat any niggles or injuries from the summer activities while their schedules have flexibility.

Call us on 03 355 6166 or book online at osteo.co.nz to secure your appointment now.
