Lets talk about the benefits of Magnesium:
Magnesium is a bit of a biochemical superhero 🦸♀️
It’s involved in over 300 enzyme-driven processes in the human body.
Most scientific sources put the number between 300 and 600, depending on how strictly you count individual reactions.
These include things your body literally cannot do properly without magnesium, such as:
• Making ATP (your cellular energy currency)
• Muscle contraction and relaxation (including heart rhythm)
• Nerve signalling and calming the nervous system
• Blood sugar and insulin control
• Blood pressure regulation
• DNA and RNA repair
• Making proteins
• Detox enzymes in the liver
• Vitamin D activation
• Melatonin and sleep regulation
• Oestrogen and hormone metabolism
• Glutathione (your master antioxidant) production
So when magnesium is low, a huge number of systems quietly start breaking down — cramps, palpitations, anxiety, fatigue, constipation, blood sugar swings, headaches, insomnia, and even histamine intolerance all become more likely.
I personally use a combination of Epsom Salt Baths, a marine based magnesium, and a spray on magnesium. Because I have the MTHFR gene mutation, magnesium is even more important for me !
