Advanced Safety has two live Implementation Partner placements opening for embedded H&S work in Canterbury.

Quick context. The Implementation Partner model places experienced H&S contractors into client businesses for a defined embedded period. The contractor sits in the seat day to day. ASL holds the client contract, provides the strategic and QA wrap, and stays as governance escalation. This is not a temp role. Not labour hire. It is productised consulting delivered through an embedded partner.

We are not recruiting employees and do not work with recruitment agencies.

Placement 1 — Canterbury Sector: Electronics manufacturing (~190 staff, US-owned, rapidly scaling)
→ Pattern: 4 days/week on-site, Christchurch
→ Term: 4 months committed, optional extension to month 6
→ Target start: Tuesday 16 June 2026
→ Focus: H&S system adoption, incident investigations, H&S Committee facilitation, SLT governance support.

Placement 2 — Canterbury Sector: Civil construction
→ Pattern: 4 days/week on-site, Christchurch
→ Term: 4 months committed, optional extension
→ Target start: Late June / early July 2026
→ Focus: Embedded H&S leadership. Final scope being locked this week.

Hard filters — confirm all three before applying.
- Geography. You live within commutable range of Christchurch. Both roles are on-site, 4 days/week.
- Commercial structure. You operate (or can operate within 4 weeks) through your own contracting entity with current PI and PL insurance.
- Technical depth. Real-world capability across: ISO 45001 | HSWA s36 officer due diligence | Incident investigation (ICAM, TapRooT, 5 Why or equivalent) | H&S Committee facilitation | Risk register and bow-tie methodology.

If you can't confirm all three, please don't apply this round - we run further cycles through 2026 and 2027.

To apply: One email to matt@advancedsafety.co.nz by 5pm Wednesday 3 June 2026. Subject: NZHSP Placement – [Your Name] – [Placement 1 / 2 / Either]

Include: brief CV (PDF, 2–3 pages) | written confirmation against each filter | one paragraph on a recent embedded engagement where you delivered measurable change | preferred placement | earliest start date | LinkedIn URL.

Day rates are not discussed in applications - structured at discovery call stage with shortlisted candidates only.

Timeline: Shortlist by 8 June → Discovery calls w/c 8 June → Final selection and contracts w/c 22 June.

If embedded work under a productised brand at this intensity interests you, we want to hear from you.

If you are a Director, Senior Leader or H&S Lead in a high-risk NZ business, this is the room you want to be in. 300 peers. Practical case studies. The kind of conversations you do not get at a compliance webinar.

Most safety conferences give you a notebook full of ideas.

Then Monday hits.

The inbox fills up.
A critical risk conversation lands on your desk.
Operations wants a quick answer.
The executive team wants confidence.
The frontline wants something practical.

And suddenly, safety leadership is not theoretical anymore.

That is why we built Safety Summit 2026 around one clear theme:
Lead when it matters most.

Last year, attendees called it:
“Not your usual H&S conference.”
“The best summit I’ve ever attended.”
“A powerful day of connection, reflection and forward thinking.”
“So many learning opportunities from the amazing speakers, both from the stage and from casual conversations.”

That is the standard we are building on.

Safety Summit 2026 is for health and safety professionals who are serious about strengthening their leadership, decision-making and influence in high-risk environments.

You will be in the room with people who care about raising the bar - not just ticking boxes.

You will hear from speakers who bring real-world lessons on leadership, resilience, performance, pressure and safety differently.

You will leave with sharper thinking, stronger connections and practical insight you can take back into your organisation.

Early Bird tickets are $495.
After 29 May 2026, they go straight to $590.
Unless they sell out first.

If you are planning to come, this is the time to book.

Your exec team isn’t ready. And the simulations prove it.

Dave Greenberg spent 25 years on the Westpac rescue helicopter in Wellington — 4,000 missions. Now he runs executive crisis simulations across New Zealand and he has never once walked into a boardroom where the CEO doubted their team.

The simulations tell a very different story.
