Remedy #2
Day 2 of the "12 Remedies of Christmas"
What happens when the kids get a new bike, scooter or skateboard? Aside from lots of fun and joy, a few scraped knees are sure to be in the mix. This remedy is given to hasten the healing of wounds and prevent infection. In fact, it was used in World War I to help prevent tetanus in the trenches by some soldiers. When used for wounds, it takes the pain away quickly, staunches the bleeding, and the kids are back on their wheels and playing in no time.
It is wonderful for puncture wounds and this includes mosquito bites. It soothes the itch and helps prevent infection. Great for jammed fingers in doors too.
This remedy is known as the 'arnica of the nerves', and has an affinity for nerve-rich areas. Think injuries to the fingers and toes, falls to the coccyx, and lacerations to the mouth - all things that can happen over the Christmas Holidays!
This remedy is a must have in your First Aid kit, so throw it into the bag as you go on holiday.
What is the remedy?
Hypericum!
