Rapaki Pick Up's first appearance was in 2009, organised by Cher Hunter & Barb Millar. It was so much fun and now in 2017 Rapaki Pick Up is back!! This is a fun event for all in which we ask you to leave all technology behind. Estimate the time you think it will take you go on foot (no wheels) from the gate at the start of Rapaki Track to the gate at the top of Rapaki and back to the start (approx 7km). No devices to be carried or worn. No Cell phone, no GPS, no watches, no Heart Rate Monitors, nothing but you and the track. The "pick up" is a mystery object you need to collect from the Rapaki Elf at the top of the track and bring it back to the start/finish. Enter as an individual or encourage the Whanau to join you on the adventure as a team. We will time you and the person/team closest to their estimated time is the winner! There will be marshals on the track for your safety in case you need any medical. See the website for more information and entry details.
