Check out our focus table! Charlotte has loaded it up with resources from Manipulation and Sorting. Lots of fabulous resources to sort, thread, match and build Great for hand eye co-ordination, colour matching, sorting and fine motor skills. Great for school holiday fun.

Huge thank you to Halswell Community Hub and Hells Pizza Wigram for the pizza vouchers. Our wonderful volunteers enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch. The Hell Morning After Pizza and Tandori Nights Pizza were big favourites. Thank uou HALSWELL COMMUNITY HUB and HELLS PIZZA WIGRAM, it was so nice to give our awesome volunteers a treat.

A Big Thanks to the Inner Wheel of Christchurch West for their generous donation which enabled us to purchase two Tonie Boxes and eight character Tonies. Every Tonie character plays music and tells stories. The Tonie Box system promotes auditory listening skills, manipulation skills and encourages time away from screens. Tonies are a fun and interactive resource and will be a very popular addition to our library.

It was our pleasure to welcome Jaimee and Rachel who visited our library last week. Jaimee is from the Canterbury Breastfeeding Advocacy Services enlisting organisations that are breastfeeding friendly. We are proud to say The Learning Needs Library has met the criteria and is now is now a certified member as a breast feeding inclusive organisation.

This week is National Volunteer Week and I would like to say a huge thank you to all the wonderful people who give up their time and volunteer at The Learning Needs Library.
