What was this year's most spectacular New Years Eve display?

Of course, New Zealand had the advantage of being one of the first countries to see in 2026.

Sydney held a minute of silence to honour those who lost their lives in the recent Bondi Beach tragedy, then burst into the sky with a display that was truly awesome.

Having the world's tallest building to work with, Dubai as always made the most of it in spectacular style.

Not to be outdone, China used world record-beating numbers of drones to draw fabulous 3D creatures in the sky.

London had announced that it would be putting on the world's best New Years Eve display - but we'll leave you to be the judge of that.

We don't normally post other people's videos but this year's stunning Christmas ad from Emirates really sleigh'ed us!

While it looks incredibly life-like, it’s important to note that this was created using high-end CGI (Computer-Generated Imagery), not AI. Every frame was meticulously handcrafted by digital artists to create that "wow" factor. 🎨✨

At Freedom Companion Driving, we might not have antlers on our cars (though we do have plenty of room for your luggage or wheelchair), but we share the same core value as Emirates: an absolute commitment to safe travel.
