We've heard you, Groover's.

Some of you have not been hearing from us - or seeing our messages in this case. It's taken a lot of digging to figure out what has been going on, but we've found out a couple of things about text messaging you:

1. Text messages have spam boxes, too.
And your phone has optional extra filtering. Our staff with Android/Google devices especially, found all sorts of doctors, dentists and other service provider texts in their spam boxes. You can mark your medical providers as not spam so that you receive their text messages for appointments, information requests, billing and, in our case, new eyewear or contact lenses being ready.

2. Words are meaningful in text messages
We will be changing some of our SMS wording to try avoid your phone tagging our messages as spam.

3. Some people have spam filtering apps or services outside of their phone settings.
If you do, you can mark Groovy Glasses as not spam to allow those messages through.

4. If you have an eSIM, it's possible you might not get our text messages.

If you do have #3 or #4 please let us know when you are in practice with us so we can make sure to mark your record as phone call only!

And lastly if you would like specific instructions or more information this is a good google search to use: "how to check SMS spam folder"

We’ve supported New Zealand Blind Low Vision for many years starting with the iconic Trudy Dog collection boxes, but with the change of the way we live our lives pawsitive changes had to be made.

Groovy is very pleased to now have on their front desk the newest version of “Trudy” for the digital age and we invite you to make a small donation when you are in store for an exam, adjustment or repair.
