I used to think that the long list of the patterns and tendencies below were simply part of my personality and who I was…

👉 urgency & rushing
👉 intellectualising feelings
👉people pleasing
👉 avoiding conflict
👉 self critiquing
👉 CHRONIC HEALTH ISSUES
👉digestive issues
👉hyper independence
👉dissociation & brain fog

Yes they were (and are) common and normalised but just because something feels familiar and normal in your day to day experience, it doesn’t mean it actually is.

I learned that these were patterns and symptoms of a nervous system that had become slowly sensitised over time, and a brain that was firing and strengthening pathways that were no longer useful.

Waiting for symptoms to improve before moving the body?

Waiting to look a certain way before you feel confident?

Waiting for the “perfect moment” to invest in yourself or opportunities

Waiting for the right partner to show up to feel loved and worthy

Waiting to live fully until responsibilities feel “less heavy”

Waiting to have more knowledge or skills before taking action

Waiting to have more stability before I move

I’ve been there.

I have spent so much time before waiting and in limbo - waiting for the right body, the right opportunity, the right time, the right circumstances. I thought ONCE I had these things I would finally start feeling confident, free and capable. I thought I had to wait until everything outside of me aligned perfectly before I could move forward..

Things changed the moment I stopped waiting and repeatedly asked myself: if I were the person I want to be, what would THEY be thinking about? What choices would they make? what actions would they take? What beliefs do they hold?

When you change from:
Once I HAVE x
Then I’ll DO x
Then I’ll BE x

To
Once I EMBODY (be) X
Then i can do X actions
Then I will naturally attract X

Things begin to SHIFT from this place!

Beliefs that may be blocking you from getting change…These are some common ones I see a lot and have had to work through myself:

1. Seeing yourself or your symptoms as different to other people who have made shifts in their life/health.

2. Seeing symptoms or traits as just passed down, so there is no chance to see possibility for change.

3. Separating symptoms as mental and physical and discounting a approach that looks at more than one factor.

4. Identity statements.. again no room for our brain to find new evidence to change.

5. Taking other people’s opinions are truth before we question our own beliefs or look for alternative opinions.

One of the most powerful lessons I CONTINUE to learn is this: life responds to your YES.

The right doors won’t open until you’ve become the version of yourself who’s ready to walk through them - this quote is it!

The opportunities and experiences we want often require us to grow first.. to evolve, step into courage, build discipline, embrace self-worth, and practice consistency—before the results or what we want even appears.

We have to become the person whose nervous system can hold these experiences before they arrive. I see it when people get their health back, the belief shifts, the consistency - but it also applies to everything in life.

I’m sharing this because what looks like luck from the outside rarely is. Behind the scenes it’s moving through layers of doubt, self-sabotage, lack of motivation BUT moving forward with unwavering commitment to yourself.

We get stuck when we wait for something external to change. True transformation comes from an identity shift within.

Here’s how I started showing up for me:

- I started trusting my own guidance instead of constantly asking others what to do next.

- I have learnt to embrace the discomfort of being a beginner

- I’m working on receiving more support

- I have more compassion when I have a hard day knowing that I don’t have to conquer the year, month, week - just the day!

- I move through the fear of being seen and heard fully, knowing confidence and authenticity attract opportunities.

- I mentally rehearse what I want through visualisation, focusing on the feeling of it rather than the exact how or when.

- I celebrate small wins because we know how important this is!

- I own my decisions and allow myself to say no to what doesn’t serve me, and yes to what fuels me and gives me ENERGY!

Often, the biggest tests come just before the door opens—when fear and self-doubt creep in, forcing you to prove to yourself that you’re truly committed.

If you’re with me, hold on, keep growing, and keep saying YES to yourself! 🫶

“Sometimes it’s hard to be who you are, when you are around people that know who you have been”.

It is a quote I read last year and one that I shared with my client earlier today which was exactly what was needed:

When we are evolving or in the midst of transformation, people can unconsciously (with the most positive intentions at heart) attempt to keep us bound to the version they are most comfortable experiencing from the past.

I’ve felt this, as have many others. I definitely see it as my clients make internal shifts and are forced to let go of beliefs that are no longer aligning to the truest version of themselves.

It’s ok if you need to seperate yourself (mentally or physically) from people places or things that do not encourage your evolution. It doesn’t have to be a permanent thing, but it will allow for some space to refocus your energy and ground back into your the truth of who you are.

Ultimately, stepping into who you want to become, can mean you need to walk away from who you have been, and this can be uncomfortable. Don’t resist it, go with it..

Keep evolving, keep allowing yourself to grow , keep accepting parts of yourself through the process. Life would be dull if we always remained the same... YOU’VE GOT THIS🦋

When you’re approaching a new desire or level of success your system senses “more coming in”. You will be tested, but a lot of it is an INTERNAL test.

Old fears, discomfort or resistance come up to see if you really do want what you say you want. They aren’t there to stop you, they’re there to see if you can hold the vision, step into it and grow through it.

Keep going, what you desire isn’t as far away as you think 🫶🏼

You are not a diagnosis so stop speaking to yourself as if that is who you are… as if this label is you at an identify level - it will shift everything!

The language we use shapes our reality because our body and brain are always listening. When we speak with agency, we activate the nervous system’s ability to shift from stress to safety, supporting healing. Words can trigger powerful biochemical responses, impacting everything from our emotions to our physical health.

Choose language that empowers and suggests that symptoms or an experience is a TEMPORARY PROCESS occurring (because it is😉). It’s not about denial, it’s about AGENCY and things becoming changeable!

✅ I am moving through x
✅ I am currently experiencing x
✅ using the opposite word of what you don’t want. For example I’m in so much pain to I have low comfort right now
✅ adding on some time context. For example I have IBS, to I am experiencing some symptoms this week

❌ It’s just the way it is
