If you’re healthy, happy, staying in your lane, quietly putting in the reps and TRUSTING the process you are already winning in most ways people can’t see.

Know one thing - things are working quietly in the background as you take small action steps even if you can’t see, you don’t need to force and add more pressure to what’s already unfolding..

I’ve seen it time and time again, the MOST underrated thing we can all do to regulate our nervous system is to work on our relationship with LETTING GO

Letting go isn’t about giving up, it’s about shifting your relationship with control.

It’s knowing where to direct your energy so you have more SPACE. Space for connection, creativity, new experiences and presence.

Ask yourself:

Where can you let go of the timelines and “how” is this going to happen? The intellectualising, the logistics is keeping you looping in a stress response, release it…

Where can you let go of forcing yourself to feel a certain way and accept how you feel in this moment? Emotions are powerful messages and letting them resisting them just causes more tension

Where can you let go of expectations of what you are thought life should or would be like and make room for what is? Trust the detours will make sense in the future

Where can you let go of the need for perfection?

Where can you let go of comparison?

Where can you let go and be present in the ‘in between’ - trust that this is simply a season.

If you’re dealing with ongoing chronic symptoms...I am going to share something that will save you a lot of time and ENERGY👇🏼

🗣️If you’ve been what feels like every practitioner and specialist out there..
🗣️You’ve been given a diagnosis or more than one but no clear road to recovery.
🗣️Nothing seems to be changing and you’ve started to believe this is a life long thing
🗣️Maybe had surgery, or been on the expensive protocols and it didn’t fix your issues like you were hoping.
🗣️You’re eating very clean, and taking all of the supplements.
🗣️You’re exercising and trying so hard to do everything right!

You are not alone! I’ve been there & so have all of my clients.

Here’s the thing - there is a missing link.

Our bodies are designed to respond to threats with the fight or flight response, but modern stressors mean that this response can be constantly triggered and get stuck on. This ongoing stress (real or percieved), exhausts us emotionally and physically because our bodies don’t get a chance to go into relax and repair mode (parasympathetic mode) which is CRUCIAL for healing.

There is hope

Symptoms are just a signal, or message from our innately intelligent body. Yes, eating healthy, sleep and exercise, and actively finding ways to elicit the relaxation response in our body are very important components of a healthy, regulated nervous system, but it is ESSENTIAL to also look at what is going on emotionally and mentally that is keeping the nervous system stuck in survival mode.

Where can we start?

🧠Learn to retrain the brain through neuroplasticity, and rewire subconscious beliefs
🧠Learn different ways to ‘respond’ to symptoms when there
🧠Practice self compassion
🧠Learn how to process and express emotions from the past that are keeping the nervous system in a stress response

I used to think that the long list of the patterns and tendencies below were simply part of my personality and who I was…

👉 urgency & rushing
👉 intellectualising feelings
👉people pleasing
👉 avoiding conflict
👉 self critiquing
👉 CHRONIC HEALTH ISSUES
👉digestive issues
👉hyper independence
👉dissociation & brain fog

Yes they were (and are) common and normalised but just because something feels familiar and normal in your day to day experience, it doesn’t mean it actually is.

I learned that these were patterns and symptoms of a nervous system that had become slowly sensitised over time, and a brain that was firing and strengthening pathways that were no longer useful.

Waiting to look a certain way before you feel confident?

Waiting for the “perfect moment” to invest in yourself or opportunities

Waiting for the right partner to show up to feel loved and worthy

Waiting to live fully until responsibilities feel “less heavy”

Waiting to have more knowledge or skills before taking action

Waiting to have more stability before I move

I’ve been there.

I have spent so much time before waiting and in limbo - waiting for the right body, the right opportunity, the right time, the right circumstances. I thought ONCE I had these things I would finally start feeling confident, free and capable. I thought I had to wait until everything outside of me aligned perfectly before I could move forward..

Things changed the moment I stopped waiting and repeatedly asked myself: if I were the person I want to be, what would THEY be thinking about? What choices would they make? what actions would they take? What beliefs do they hold?

When you change from:
Once I HAVE x
Then I’ll DO x
Then I’ll BE x

To
Once I EMBODY (be) X
Then i can do X actions
Then I will naturally attract X

Things begin to SHIFT from this place!

Beliefs that may be blocking you from getting change…These are some common ones I see a lot and have had to work through myself:

1. Seeing yourself or your symptoms as different to other people who have made shifts in their life/health.

2. Seeing symptoms or traits as just passed down, so there is no chance to see possibility for change.

3. Separating symptoms as mental and physical and discounting a approach that looks at more than one factor.

4. Identity statements.. again no room for our brain to find new evidence to change.

5. Taking other people’s opinions are truth before we question our own beliefs or look for alternative opinions.

Our nervous system is a truth teller, learning ways to create safety and presence within is the foundation to our health and happiness.

Let this be your reminder It’s not always about pushing and adding more to your plate… compassion is key and sometimes the biggest shifts happens when we tune inward and just redirect where our energy and focus is going
