WHO IS EATING ?
Who tends to sit at the head of your table?
My biggest breakthrough of this training is that I’ve come to realise “who is sitting at the head of my table” . It has not been my adult self. The space was occupied mainly by the archetypes Nutritionist and Perfectionist. Telling me what to eat and what not to eat. They know exactly what is good or bad for me and they have strict rules. After lunch the Child and Teenage Rebel join in. They want lots of chocolate and nuts and they want it now. No matter what the consequences are in the long run.
Nobody tells the rebel what to do, not the Nutritionist or the Perfectionist, not even me!
The Witness might whisper softly, for a fraction of a second, but has no chance. Quick, get the chocolate now so I don’t have to listen to the wise advice of taking some long deep breaths.
Now that I am aware of this committee around my eating habits, I claim my Queen hood. Now SHE is in charge. She has trusted advisers around the table but she is sitting at the head, and the ultimate decision lies with the Queen herself.
I, as the Queen, will listen to the Child and teenage Rebel, and will take into account what they want. Occasionally, I can accommodate their requests so not to silence them and bring them into the light.
