Nothing but blue…as far as the eye could see today! We stood nestled in close to one another, Karakia to begin as the ocean lapped at our toes. Our surfing journey ‘Moana Whakaora’ with rangatahi from Hinekura began for the second season. Thank-you to our funders for their continued support and for their kindness. A stunning morning on the beach before heading back to kura.

Canterbury Woman's Champs on Saturday. What a stunning FULL DAY of quality Surfing. Scarbs was firing for the wāhine, so an amazing chance to showcase so much talent!!!! A privilege to be asked to Mihi at dawn to open the event, then to sit shoulder to shoulder with my dear friend all day, to learn from the master how to 'capture the magic' on the waves. Don't mind if I do! We had the honour of sponsoring the Teeny Wāhine this year - the 'mighty minis' who were rocking it out there. Such an awesome event, credit to Brooke, Puff and Hannah and the team of cheerleader volunteers.

May Do Crew! Kicking into the four week challenge this morning. Month of May. The Do Crew! Surf was on for us this morning…water temp on the fast decline but not the spirits I can assure you. Post surf brunch - a table full of good vibes, great Kai right there. See ya next Sunday team!
