Healing from childhood stuff is tricky because you have to teach yourself all the things you should have been taught years ago. It is safe to have needs. It is safe to take up space. Which one of these hits home for you today?

📣 Keen to help turn our chaos into kindness?🫶

Since reopening, the generosity from our community has been incredible. Donations have been arriving in waves and we are so thankful for every single item shared with love.

Right now, our team is working tirelessly behind the scenes to sort, size, clean and check everything so it can head back out the door quickly to the next whānau. To keep things moving (and hopefully avoid pausing donations again so soon!), we could really use some extra hands.

If your New Year's Resolution is to give back a bit more this year, this is your moment. No long-term commitment needed – even a day or two makes a real difference.
Spend some time with us and you’ll be helping freshen up toys, sort clothing, clean and check equipment and prepare practical support for families. Every job helps to get items out to a baby who desperately needs them 💛

No special skills needed – we’ll guide you. Bring your energy, a willingness to pitch in and maybe your love of organising! 😉
We’ll bring the hot cuppas, tasty treats and a friendly team who love what they do.

If you’d like to be involved behind the scenes at PIPS, send us a message with your availability. We’d love to welcome you! 💛

As aa chronically anxious human who used to feel the need to plan out everything to the point that it was so overwhelming that I could not move - here's a reminder for us both. You don't have to have it all figured out right now.

Love a good Peer Support get together! Great to share our stories and the groovy new initiatives being created across Canterbury.

Our peer support kaimahi Aaron, recently joined Megan from Comcare Trust and Jessica from The Speed Freaks, on Compass FM to kōrero about the Coffee Club in Rangiora.

Run by The Peer Support Collective, this weekly group creates a safe, welcoming space for people with lived experience to connect and support one another in recovery.

What began as a small central city meet-up has now grown to 20+ regulars, and has expanded out to Rangiora. Come join the collective!

📍 Mondays, 10–11am, Artisan Bakery, Rangiora

Raising awareness on World Su***de Prevention Day, Recovery is definitely a team journey!

It's world su***de prevention day today, so I thought I would share The Butterfly Diaries e-book again - four true stories of recovery from being suicidal as told to four NZ writers. We distributed more than a thousand paperbacks back in 2014 and now it's been made immortal online.

Mental Health Awareness Week is coming up!

Community Kōrero needs you! 💬

With Mental Health Awareness Week kicking off at the start of October, we want to run a series of Community Kōrero sessions next month that are themed around topics of your choice.

So with that in mind, the topics listed here are just to get you started, but we want to hear from you. Let us know in the comments if you're keen to chat about any of these topics or raise your own. We'll collate the responses and assign a special topic to each of our Community Kōrero sessions in October! We'll also arrange for some guest speakers, so let us know your suggestions there, too ❤️

I was going to do a fancy schmancy poll or survey with tick boxes and the like, but pure conversation here is the way to go! 💬
