β¨οΈ I'M BAAAACK!! β¨οΈHERE'S WHY:
Friend: my old trainer told me it DIDN'T matter if I couldn't squat low without a bar because when loaded up, the WEIGHT WOULD PUSH ME DOWN INTO POSITION.
β οΈ Not everyone knows how to squat, but Im sure most people can appreciate that if a body doesn't want to get into a certain position, FORCING it under a load of heavy weights sounds like a recipe for disaster π€¦πΌββοΈ
Funnily enough both this friend and myself actually were coached by this same individual and it was in part due to advice like this that lead us both to study personal training.

οΈ PHYSICAL TRAINING CHANGES LIVES.
We are made to move! Its tied to our health and our happiness. How do can you enjoy life to the fullest if you have poor health?
After a wee hiatus, I'm so grateful that I've had 3 people in the last fortnight ask me to train them. My clients now range from weight-loss + fitness, to beginner lifters, a seasoned powerlifter aiming for NZ records, to a dear friend wanting to overcome health challenges and trust their strong body again π
π I dont believe there is a "correct way" to train, everyone is unique, with their own challenges and strengths, but after 13 years of gym experience and going on 9 years competing, I have an absolute DRIVE to ensure that every person gains as much knowledge as possible to make their own informed fitness decisions.
It took me YEARS and sometimes injuries to learn certain lessons. If I can remove obstacles of uncertainty, niggles or injuries, low confidence, a negative mindset towards training, and getting ridiculous advice, then I can be the change I want to see in an industry that often pushes insecurities, fads and bogus advice.
If you want to change your mindset, your body or your life, physical training can't be ignored π lets just do it smarter π€
