Foot Wisdom #7
Some people don’t think much about their feet - until they stop working properly.
A small pressure point.
A thickened nail.
A spot that rubs in a work boot.
Often it’s not painful enough to stop you doing things, but it becomes one more small irritation in the day. Something you notice when you walk a little further, stand a little longer, or reach the end of a busy week.
Good foot care isn’t about fuss - It’s about removing the small things that slowly start to get in the way.
A pressure point reduced.
A nail made comfortable again.
A shoe that fits properly.
When your feet are comfortable, you simply get on with life - walking, working, travelling, doing the things you enjoy. Most people don’t think about their feet when they’re working well.
And that’s exactly the point.
Sometimes the goal isn’t dramatic improvement.
It’s simply making sure things keep working the way they should.
Many of these small changes are easy to address when noticed early.
Foot Wisdom is a weekly reflection from Solecare - sharing simple, practical insights from years of podiatry experience.
Our feet carry us through every stage of life. Small changes, when understood early, can preserve comfort, confidence and independence for years to come.
This series is about prevention, understanding, and caring for your feet as part of lifelong health - not just fixing problems when they appear.
