This week, Workplace Relations and Safety Minister Hon Brooke van Velden announced the Employment Leave Act – a complete overhaul of the Holidays Act and one of the most significant changes to employment law in years.

The new Act promises to fix what has long been described as a compliance nightmare by simplifying leave calculations, introducing hours-based accruals, and making entitlements clearer and fairer for both employers and employees.

We asked Dr Angela Lim how do you take care of your own mental health as a CEO and co-founder?

"For me there are a suite of things that I do to stay mentally well. The foundation to taking care of my mental health are the relationships in my life. Whether that is being able to hire great people who I can lean on to solve tough problems at work together or going on trips with friends and family.

On a more personal level, I like cooking, going for runs at least twice a week, journalling, and I have a coach I see monthly.

Ultimately, working on Clearhead gives me a deep sense of meaning and purpose in my life and that gets me through the challenging moments."
