Meet Vicky - Our Managing Director (Ma CFA)
At City First Aid, we’re more than a training company. For us, it’s about whānau. And at the heart of that whānau is Vicky, our boss lady and the other half of the ownership team with Brian.
As Managing Director, Vicky leads with honesty and transparency, enhancing the strength of our staff, valuing their knowledge and input, and keeping our core relationships with clients strong. She has steered City First Aid through some of New Zealand’s toughest seasons , from the uncertainty of Covid to today’s challenging economic climate. She is deeply proud that the business has not only survived but continued to grow, always staying true to our values.
For her, it is never just about survival and growth though. It is about being personable and available. She takes pride in the fact that our clients (whether private individuals, businesses, or public organisations) know they can reach out and we’ll be there to listen, to support, and to talk things through.
Above all, she is proud that CFA is recognised as more than just a company: but family. A place where we uphold and encourage one another, and where connection and care are at the heart of everything we do.
Vicky will happily tell you that she loves dogs, who doesn’t, they’re loyal, fun, and always up for company. She loves cooking and sharing meals, and nothing makes her happier than opening her home to family and friends. Being hospitable, connecting with people, and being part of a community is at the heart of who she is.
With 17 years of experience as a registered nurse in operating theatres, Vicky has seen how vital timely care can be in saving lives. She believes first aid is its own essential skill - one that everyone should have, not just medical professionals. Whether it’s helping someone who is unconscious, treating a burn, or responding to an accident, these everyday life-saving skills give people confidence and freedom.
We agree. First aid is a life changer. Not just in emergencies, but in the everyday confidence it gives people when they know how to help. For us, that confidence is freedom
