The adventure of a lifetime!!!! 💫 Doubtful Sounds nestled deep in Fiordland National Park. Two ferry trips and a bus ride over Wilmot Pass led us to the most epic nature scenery I have ever seen! The rain kept the vibe moody which turned on ALL the hundreds of waterfalls we passed! What an experience! What a gift! So grateful 🙏 🏔️ 🌊

Sydney 💫 Day 3 (Part 2)

We explored the Australian Museum which was fun! Spotted a few things that were familiar from home 🇿🇦

We then headed back to hotel to get ready for the Opeth concert 🎶 at the Sydney Opera House. What an experience!!!! 🤩 🎸
Not the most common genre of music you’d expect to listen to at such a posh venue but it was incredible and the sound was amazing!!! What an incredible experience and what an awesome down to earth band!!! 👏

Sydney 💫 Day 3 (Part 1)

Matcha latte with breakfast 🍃 followed by a walk in the Sydney Botanical Gardens 🌳 So beautiful and it was such a stunning day!!! ☀️
We then headed through for our tour of the Sydney Opera House, which was such a highlight of our trip! Our tour guide was a French lady who honestly made the whole experience amazing! She was SO GOOD at her job 👏 To learn about the history and architecture of such an iconic landmark was so cool!!!
We then had lunch at the Opera Bar, and more bubbles of course 🥂 Had the most delicious Caesar salad 🥗
We then made our way to Australia Museum … tbc

Sydney 💫 Day 2

Shakshuka for breakfast, which was so delicious!!! Our hotel’s restaurant was really good!!!
We then head off into central and on the ferry to the zoo. Only to realise we’d booked for and arrived at the wrong zoo 🫣🤦‍♀️ Anyway, a speedy Uber drive and 50km later we got to Sydney zoo.
The reptile experience was such fun! The frogs were hilarious!!! 🐸 The shingleback lizard was so cute and the children’s python 🐍 was awesome to hold!
We then headed back to the city and jumped on another ferry to Manly Beach. 🏝️
We had champagne 🥂 and the most delicious calamari at a restaurant on the wharf and enjoyed the afternoon in the beautiful weather ☀️ Manly beach was PACKED with people!!!
Back to our hotel for dinner and luckily we got a room upgrade. Our incredibly noisy neighbors the night before had on several occasions streamed their blaring party music to our rooms Bluetooth’s speaker - waking us up with heart palpitations 🫣 Needless to say we were stoked for the room change a proper nights sleep 👏

Sydney 💫 Day 1
Early flight from Christchurch to Sydney. The views over the snow capped mountains were amazing!!! 🏔️
Checked into our hotel early which was great! Had some breakfast and made our way to Bondi Beach.
Walked the coastal track from Bondi Beach to Coogee Beach, which was awesome! Had rooftop cocktails 🍹 at Coogee and a walk along the shore. Water was freezing!!! 🌊
Made our way to central for dinner (with some snaps 📷 of the Opera house, Harbour Bridge and some huge city buildings) at an awesome Mexican restaurant with the biggest margaritas we’ve ever seen!!! 🤩 Was absolutely delicious!!!

Day one was fantastic 👏

🏡 25/08/2025 🏡 Not only was it my 38th revolution around the sun 🥳 it also happened to be SETTLEMENT day on our first home 🏡 🥂👏 Absolutely thrilled with our beautiful little home!!!

Nick and I immigrated to New Zealand in 2014, each with just a suitcase. 11 years later we now officially own our own home and own piece of land in this beautiful country! We are now very proud homeowners and I’m so grateful for the journey we’ve had so far!!! I look forward to many happy memories in our new abode 🏡🥰
