I want to share something that stunned me this week.
My daughter — who’s older now — suddenly started building towers
and knocking them down like a toddler.
And I realized…
she had skipped this stage years ago
because she was protecting me.
In this work, trauma isn’t the event.
It’s the moment your body couldn’t finish something.
That unfinished moment becomes a “loop,”
and the loop creates a survival rule — a “vow” —
like “stay calm,”
“don’t break things,”
or “hold everything together.”
Children feel these vows instantly.
They adapt to keep the connection safe.
They avoid what we can’t handle.
They stabilize what we can’t hold.
And when we heal a vow…
our child gets their freedom back.
That’s what happened with my daughter.
As soon as my system softened,
her play changed.
She reclaimed a milestone she once skipped.
This is the power of healing as a parent.
If you want to explore this work,
this is exactly what I support families with —
and it is truly life-changing.

You know those moments when you're in a shop with your child,
they want something…
and you feel that pressure rising?

“Should I say yes? Should I say no?
Will I disappoint them?
Will I teach them scarcity?”

Here’s the truth that changed everything for me:

Your child learns abundance from your presence —
not from what you buy.

Abundance is not “getting everything you want.”
It’s feeling safe, held, connected… even when the answer is no.

You can say:
“I’m not buying this today, love…
And I’m right here with your feelings.”

That’s abundance.
Not money — presence.

If you want to raise a child who feels abundant,
teach them this:

I am with you.
Even when the answer is no.

That’s the field they grow up in
And that field becomes their whole life.

Most of us were not raised with boundaries.
We were raised with walls.”
When our parents said “no,”
they didn’t stay connected.
They shut down.
They pulled away.
They got angry.
They went cold.
And our nervous system learned:
“Love disappears when I get it wrong.”
This week’s episode is about breaking that pattern —
and learning to say NO in love,
so your child never loses you in the moment they need you most.

Kayli Jean - here you are!!!
In this intimate conversation between two mothers and nervous system practitioners, we explore a truth that changes everything:
our children don’t learn from what we say — they absorb who we are.
Together with my dear friend Kayli, we open the door to a very real, very human conversation about motherhood, dysregulation, ancestral trauma, and the quiet healing that begins when we tend to our own inner child.
We speak about:
how our children mirror our nervous systems
why integration in the parent becomes safety for the child
the power of closing generational loops
the importance of repair, presence, and emotional honesty
how sisterhood and community restore what mothers have lost
why our trauma becomes our initiation, not our identity
This episode is not about doing parenting “right.”
It’s about remembering that healing ourselves is the greatest legacy we leave our children.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed, guilty, or alone in your motherhood journey — this conversation is a hand on your back, reminding you that you’re not meant to carry everything alone.
Your integration becomes their freedom.
Your healing becomes their inheritance.
Listen gently. You might find yourself reflected here.

“When we ask children to ‘say please’ or ‘say thank you,’ what are we really asking? Often, we are asking them to make us feel safe — to confirm that we are raising someone ‘acceptable.’ But children are already polite in their essence. Their hesitation to perform social rituals isn’t rudeness; it’s honesty.
When I look at my child’s silence or shyness, I remember my own. I remember how I learned that being loved sometimes meant performing comfort for others. So now, instead of teaching my child to be polite, I teach myself to be present.
Politeness taught from fear becomes performance. Politeness that arises from presence becomes grace.
If I can hold my own inner child — the one who was told ‘be nice,’ ‘don’t make people uncomfortable’ — then my outer child doesn’t need to carry that weight. The home becomes a field of safety where truth can breathe.
The more we remember our own innocence, the more natural kindness returns — not as a rule, but as resonance. Children don’t learn to say thank you; they remember what gratitude feels like when we live it. They don’t need us to train their manners; they need us to harmonize their field.”
