Puppy Preschool Class's at Shirley Vet Clinic A fun and interactive Puppy Class! Held at Shirley Vet Clinic generally on Sundays . Both practical and theory based. A – Yes!

Live like puppies do; like everything is an adventure! Puppy preschool is a class for puppies aged between 6 to 14 weeks of age that have had their first vaccination. Puppy class is organised lessons both theory and practical that help you and your puppy learn desired behaviors and skills that will help you throughout your puppies first stages of life. Information
There are 3 classes which are held at either

The Shirley Vet Centre which is located at 15 Marshland Road in Shirley, Christchurch


Please bring with you your puppy on a lead with a collar and their favourite toy. please bring their vaccination card with you as proof of the puppy being vaccinated. Avoid feeding your puppy before class so then they will be hungry to eat the trainer’s treats. Topics Covered…

Common questions that are asked...

Q- Can my children come to the classes as well? A-Yes, all family members are welcome to attend so then the class information is heard by all to keep consistency with training

Q- Are there handouts from the sessions? A-Yes at the end of each class you will be given a handout with an overview of the night’s teachings for you to keep

Q- Can we all teach the puppy its practical lessons? A – For ease of learning we encourage just one person at a time teaching the puppy its practical lessons. Q- Should I practice the practical lessons with my puppy when we are not at class? Practice makes perfect and helps the puppy to remember what they have been taught.
5 minutes twice a day is a good amount to practice with your puppy

Q- If my puppy is unwell should we still attend class? A – No, to keep the other puppies in the class safe it is best that you not attend but do ring the clinic to advise that you will not be attending. You will be able to make up the class at a later date. Contact details
