🐑 For warmth and love, rest in fleece.🐑

With the stunning views of Duvauchelle Bay in the background, we recently held the service for the late Ian Douglas Richardson — better known as ‘RICHO’.

The service was held at the A&P Showground, a fitting tribute, full of personalised touches that reflected his life.

As Ian was a sheep farmer the family chose a woollen casket, which was customised with spray-paint and lined with wool. In true Kiwi farmer style, Ian was even driven off on the back of a ute.

🍬💐 A Sweet Way to Say Goodbye 🍬💐

We recently had a service where the family decided to ditch the traditional flower wreath and go with something more unique — a wreath made entirely of lollies.

It was a beautiful, colourful tribute created by Loaded with Love, Gifts & Gift boxes and was a great way to reflect the personality of their loved one.

We think it was a very sweet way to say goodbye, and shows that every service can be personalised in anyway.

The Trinity Quarter, located on the north side of our Under the Rata memorial garden at Burnside, is a peaceful space created for the remembrance of loved ones.

What makes it uniquely special though? It features stone carefully recovered from Christchurch’s historic Trinity Church after the earthquakes—preserving a piece of our city’s story alongside your loved ones.

Featuring the premiere of Claire Cowan’s Cinderella suite,
Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 with Vesa-Matti Leppänen,
and Florence Price’s powerful Symphony No. 1.

Join us for an unforgettable evening this Saturday at Christchurch Town Hall for Lamb & Hayward Masterworks: Cowan, Bruch, Price.

We premiere an enchanting suite from Claire Cowan’s Cinderella, composed for the 2022 production of Cinderella by the Royal New Zealand ballet.

NZSO Concertmaster Vesa-Matti Leppänen will dazzle in Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1, beloved by violinists around the world. It’s jam-packed with emotion and lyrical melodies, coupled with the obligatory fireworks from both soloist and orchestra.

CSO will also showcase Florence Price’s groundbreaking first symphony that artfully weaves together classical forms and inspiration from folk music, spirituals and the blues.
