As the colder mornings start to settle in, have you noticed your body feeling a bit stiffer… a bit tighter… maybe those old aches and pains are creeping back?

You’re not imagining it — cooler temperatures can tighten muscles, slow circulation, and make joints feel less mobile. The good news? A few simple daily habits can make a big difference.

Here are 4 easy ways to keep your body feeling better through the colder months:

🔹 1. Warm up before you get moving
Before jumping out of bed or heading into your day, take 2–3 minutes to gently stretch your neck, shoulders, and lower back. Even small movements help “wake up” your body.

🔹 2. Stay hydrated (yes, even in winter!)
We often drink less water when it’s cold, but your muscles and joints still need hydration to function smoothly.

🔹 3. Keep moving
It’s tempting to stay still when it’s chilly, but movement creates warmth and keeps joints lubricated. A short walk or light mobility work goes a long way.

🔹 4. Try this simple Jin Shin Jyutsu technique for aches & tension
Place one hand on your opposite shoulder at the base of the neck, and the other hand on your opposite low back around the hip. Hold gently for 2–5 minutes, breathing slowly. Then switch sides.
This helps harmonise energy flow through the body, easing tension and improving overall circulation.

✨ Small daily actions = big long-term results.

If your aches and pains are sticking around or getting worse, it’s your body asking for help. Now is the perfect time to get on top of it before winter fully sets in.

Long Weekend Reset 🌿

This long weekend is the perfect opportunity to slow down… not just physically, but mentally too.

We spend so much of our time connected — phones, emails, scrolling, notifications — that our nervous system rarely gets a true break. Even when we’re “resting,” our mind is still switched on.

Taking time to sit quietly, away from technology, allows your body to:
• Settle the nervous system
• Improve digestion and energy flow
• Reduce muscle tension and stress patterns
• Support better sleep and recovery

Even 10–15 minutes of simply sitting, breathing, and being present can make a noticeable difference.

✨ Simple Jin Shin Jyutsu technique for deep relaxation:
Sit comfortably and place one hand gently on the centre of your chest (heart area), and the other hand on your lower abdomen.

Hold this position quietly for 5–10 minutes.
Breathe slowly and naturally.

This helps harmonise the stress response, calms the mind, and brings your body back into balance.

No effort. No force. Just allowing.

If you’ve been feeling tight, tired, stressed, or out of balance lately, this is your body asking for a reset.

👉 This long weekend is a great time to take it one step further.

Do you ever feel like your body is trying to tell you something… but you’re not quite sure how to listen?

Stress doesn’t just stay in your mind.
It settles into your body.

It can show up as that constant tightness in your back…
That uncomfortable bloating or digestive discomfort…
Or the quiet feeling of anxiety that never fully switches off.

Over time, these things become your “normal.”
But they’re not random—and they’re not something you have to just live with.

I work with people who are tired of chasing symptoms and ready to understand what their body is really asking for.

Because when you gently support the nervous system,
the body begins to release…
Digestion can improve…
Pain can ease…
And that constant underlying tension can finally soften.

This isn’t about quick fixes.
It’s about real, grounded care that helps your body reset and function the way it’s meant to.

If you’ve been feeling stuck between stress, discomfort, and pain—this is your sign to start addressing it differently.

✨ Your body already knows how to heal. It just needs the right support.

If this resonates, send me a message or book in—I'd love to help you feel like yourself again.

Is your stress affecting your digestion?

If you’re dealing with:

Bloating
Tight or uncomfortable stomach
Irregular digestion
Feeling “off” after eating

…it may not just be food.

Stress and anxiety directly impact your digestive system.

When your body is in “fight or flight,” digestion slows down or becomes disrupted — which is why so many people experience gut issues when life feels overwhelming.

Here’s a simple Jin Shin Jyutsu technique to help:

Place one hand on your cheekbone
Place your other hand on your collar bone on the same side

Hold gently and breathe slowly for 2–5 minutes.

This helps calm the nervous system and supports better digestive flow.

But here’s the key…

Quick techniques help in the moment —
but lasting change comes from resetting how your body responds to stress.

That’s where we come in.

At our clinic, we help:
✔ Calm your nervous system
✔ Improve digestion naturally
✔ Address the root cause — not just the symptoms

If your digestion isn’t right, now is the time to sort it.

You don’t have to keep putting up with it.

🌿🍂 Autumn is here… time to reset, recharge, and look after YOU 🍂🌿

With Easter now behind us and the school holidays in full swing, life can feel a little out of rhythm. Add in the cooler mornings and shorter days, and it’s no surprise our energy dips and our immune system can take a hit.

This is the perfect time to slow down, tune in, and support your body naturally.

Here are a few simple Jin Shin Jyutsu self-care techniques you can use daily:

✨ 1. Boost your immune system
Hold your thumb gently (either hand) for 2–3 minutes each side.
👉 Helps reduce worry and strengthens the stomach/spleen energy—key for immunity.

✨ 2. Increase energy levels
Place one hand on the top of your head and the other on your centre chest.
👉 Hold for a few minutes while breathing slowly—this helps recharge your body's energy flow.

✨ 3. Support lungs & seasonal change
Hold your ring finger on each hand.
👉 Great for respiratory support and letting go of grief or heaviness (common in autumn).

As the seasons change, your body needs a little extra support—and small daily habits make a big difference.

💚 If you’re feeling run down, tight, or not quite yourself, we’re here to help you reset, rebalance, and feel like you again.

📅 Book in for a session or reach out if you need guidance—we’d love to support you through this seasonal shift.

Stay warm, stay well, and take a moment for yourself today.

Ever tried to “stop thinking”… and your mind goes even faster?

That’s what stress does.

It doesn’t quiet the mind — it speeds it up.

Instead of forcing it to stop, try this:

👉 One hand on your forehead
👉 One hand at the base of your ribs

Now say to yourself:

“For the next 2 minutes, I’ll think of nothing at all.”

Then just sit and watch.

Your thoughts will go ballistic.

That’s normal.

But something interesting happens when you keep doing this:
• You start noticing gaps between thoughts
• Those gaps get longer
• Your mind begins to settle

You’re not trying to control it — just observe it.

Even a couple of minutes can shift how you feel.

If your mind has been constantly “on” lately, it’s usually not just mental — it’s your whole system needing to slow down.

And sometimes, the fastest way to get there… is to help the body do it properly.

01/04/2026

Stress changes how you breathe… and how you breathe affects your stress.

When things build up, breathing becomes shallow and fast — keeping your body stuck in “go mode.”

You can reverse that.

Try this simple reset:

👉 Hands under your armpits
👉 Thumbs resting on your chest (around the third rib)
👉 Shoulders relaxed

Now just breathe… don't change how you breathe, just breathe

Count one full breath (in + out) as 1
Work your way up to 36 breaths

That’s it.

This helps:
• Slow your system down
• Reduce internal tension
• Clear your head

If your mind wanders, that’s normal — just come back to the count.

Simple things done consistently work.

And if you find it hard to fully relax into your breathing, that’s usually a sign your system is holding more tension than it should.

That’s where hands-on work can make a big difference.

There’s a lot going on right now… and your body feels it.

Stress doesn’t just sit in your head — it lives in your nervous system.

When that system is under pressure, you can feel:
• Tense
• Wired but tired
• On edge for no real reason

One of the key players here is your vagal nerve — the part of your system that helps you relax, recover, and reset.

Here’s a simple way to switch it back on: The Vagal reset

👉 Interlock your fingers behind your head
👉 Gently look up
👉 Move your eyes to the RIGHT (keep your head still)
👉 Wait for a sigh, swallow, or yawn

Then repeat on the LEFT.

Do this twice.

That’s your body releasing tension in real time.

Do it morning and night — it only takes a couple of minutes.

If you try it, notice what shifts.

And if your system feels like it’s been stuck in stress mode for a while, sometimes it just needs a bit more help to fully reset.

That’s exactly what I help people with every day.

Life feels heavier right now.

Between everything happening in the world and the constant day-to-day pressures, many people are feeling stretched, overwhelmed, and running on empty. When stress builds, it doesn’t just stay in the mind—it shows up in the body, in sleep, in energy levels, and in how we cope with everyday life.

If you’ve been feeling this way, you’re not alone.

Sometimes what we need is a moment to pause, reset, and give the body the support it needs to come back into balance.

To help during this time, I’m offering 20% off the standard new client appointment ($170) for anyone who is ready to take a step toward easing stress and supporting their overall wellbeing.

This is a simple way to begin shifting how your body is handling stress, tension, and overwhelm.

Alongside this, here is a simple Jin Shin Jyutsu technique for overwhelm you can try at home:

👉 Gently place your right hand on your left upper arm (just above the elbow)
👉 Place your left hand on the opposite side of your lower back (easiest resting the back of your hand here)

Hold this position comfortably, breathing slowly and naturally for 5–10 minutes.

This simple hold helps to:

Calm the nervous system
Ease feelings of overwhelm and mental pressure
Support the body in letting go of stress
Bring a sense of grounding and stability

You can do this anytime you feel overloaded, anxious, or simply need to reset.

If you feel this is the time to get some support, I’d love to help you get back on track.

Take care of yourself—your body will thank you for it.
