Today, we raise awareness of viral hepatitis — a silent yet serious threat that causes inflammation of the liver, leading to severe disease and liver cancer.

📊 In 2022:
🔹 304 million people were living with chronic hepatitis B and C
🔹 Only 45% of newborns received the hepatitis B vaccine within 24 hours
🔹 1.3 million lives were lost to hepatitis B and C

This year’s theme is a call to dismantle the barriers – financial, social, and systemic – that prevent people from accessing life-saving services. Hepatitis B and C are preventable, treatable, and in the case of hepatitis C, curable.

It’s time to:
