Also I’ve had a few appointments open up at Kawakawa Bay this week, Thurs 1pm & 4pm, Fri 1pm. As these can’t be booked online please contact me directly.

Just a heads up in case you missed it elsewhere

Attention Wairoa Valley residents - significant road works incoming in September.

Please read below and note that all works and proposed timeframes are noted by AT as ‘weather permitting’.

‼️ Clevedon-Kawakawa Road, between Clevedon and Kawakawa Bay:
📆 Three weeks, from 17 September 2025 - 7:00am – 7:00pm
✔️ Stabilisation – repairs done before chipseal

🚧 Monument Road (in the vicinity of Munros Road):
📆 Two days, from 17 September - 7:00am – 7:00pm, FULL CLOSURE
✔️ Tree removal

🚧 Hyde Road:
📆 Two weeks, from 22 September 2025, FULL CLOSURE 24/7
✔️ Full road rehabilitation.
No vehicles will have access onto Hyde Rd. No access to directly affected properties will be available. Residents will not be able to exit or enter their properties once the road is closed. Residents will have to park on side roads for the 2-week duration.

‼️ Clevedon-Kawakawa Road, between the village roundabout and Clevedon School:
📆 Two weeks, from 22 September 2025, 7:00am – 7:00pm
✔️ Maintenance – footpath, kerb and channel

‼️ Ness Valley Road (Clevedon end):
📆 Two days, from 22 September 2025 - 7:00am – 7:00pm
✔️ Stabilisation – repairs done before chipseal

Please note that contractors will use a mix of temporary traffic signs (like stop/go signs) and traffic lights, and a lower speed limit to keep traffic moving and keep people who use the roads and footpaths safe.

Traffic controllers will help to manage vehicle access. Please follow all signs, light signals and traffic directions.

You’ll need to reduce your speed when you’re driving through works areas that remain open. Please follow all signs, light signals and traffic directions.

Next Friday afternoon has opened up and as I still have spaces on Weds and Thursday I thought what the heck, I’ll go tramping.
