Welcome to the Golden View Lifestyle Village in Cromwell, Central Otago. Our vision is to create a safe, secure environment with the freedom to relax and enjoy your ‘Age of Leisure’. We aim to take the stress out of your retirement and add in a whole lot of fun. The Village will provide you with the opportunity to spend your time quietly in the safe, secure and attractive environment with companionship never far away or you have the freedom to come and go as you please to be active in the Village and community. Golden View Lifestyle Village is in an ideal location, close to the Supermarket, Medical Services, Cafes and shops with a pathway giving you direct access to these services. The Village will consist of 94 stand alone Villas built in five stages centered around the Golden View Lodge which will be the hub of the village.

Even though it is chilly outside today we have been having a lot of fun lately! From our Ukulele group entertainment, to our Cromwell Community Choir that had our residents dancing the night away, bike riding adventures into the hills and Apartment happy hours. We even made the Cromwell Bulletin last week!

We all enjoyed an early celebration on Friday afternoon of the Coronation of His Majesty The King accompanied by our local based Fine Thyme singers, who were just amazing. Such a special afternoon.

RE: Kaihautū – General Manager Announcement on behalf of Trish Bulling

It is my pleasure to announce that we have appointed Donna Goddard as our new Kaihautū – General Manager. This role has the operational aspects of the Ripponburn Home & Hospital’s Care Manager as well as General Manager overall for all facilities: Golden View Village and Apartments, Golden View Care, Ripponburn Lifestyle Village and Home and Hospital.

Donna will be starting her role on the 8th of May 2023. Donna currently works with her husband running a consultancy business which provides Business and Management consulting. She lives in Tarras and is heavily involved in the local community.

Donna has over 20 years of management and general management experience over several industries. She has managed teams all over the world in multiple roles, both technical and business related.

Donna has been involved in Aged Care in Australia and is looking forward to bringing that knowledge to her role here in Cromwell.

As a community we just wanted to say to those that are affected by the flooding and Cyclone Gabrielle, we are feeling devastated for you and thinking of you all. We are truly saddened by what has happened and our condolences go out to those that have lost loved ones.

Our Annual Spud in a Bucket competition took place on Friday which always brings out the competitive side of our residents. We had a great turnout to watch the running commentary and weigh in session. The heaviest bucket of potatoes came in at 1.72kgs which was Heather Beardsmore!

It's that time of year that we celebrate with our residents and enjoy a Christmas lunch with the help of all the staff, residents and shareholders. It was such a wonderful day and thoroughly enjoyed. We wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🤶🎅
