Virtual GP Consults Are Now Available at DMC! 🩺💻

We’re excited to let our patients know that we now offer virtual consultations with qualified GPs from around New Zealand!

Here’s how it works:
👨‍⚕️ You come into the medical centre as usual
📱 We have a dedicated private room set up with an iPad and Audio Equipment
💬 A qualified NZ-based GP will connect with you via video to complete your consult
✨ The process is smooth, secure, and convenient.
🩹Our nurses and health care assistants are available to assist the GP if required during your consultation
💵The virtual consults are the same price as our regular face to face consults

This service helps us ensure you can still be seen by a doctor when appointments are limited, and reduces wait times for everyone.

Our Emergency Clinic Hours
Saturday 25th October: 9am - 12pm
Sunday 26th October: CLOSED
Monday 27th October: CLOSED

We will be back to business as usual on Tuesday 28th October
Patients can continue to phone us outside of our business hours on 09 439 8079 and you will be triaged by our After Hours Service - Ka Ora Telehealth. They can organise a telephone consult or a video call with a Dr or if face to face care is needed they will forward you to the appropriate service.

STAFF SHORTAGES
We are extremely short of Dr's this week, we apologise to our patients who we have had to cancel or move their face to face appointments. We are very grateful for your understanding. Please expect longer wait times through our urgent care clinic over the next two weeks. As always patients with the most urgent need will be given priority and seen first. Our Dr Triage service is still available Monday - Friday 8am-4pm.

Fee Increase: Effective 1st August 2025
As a Very Low-Cost Access (VLCA) Medical Centre, we remain committed to keeping healthcare affordable and accessible for our community.
However, due to increasing costs, we will be making a small adjustment to some of our fees from 1 August 2025. These changes are in line with government guidelines and will help us continue providing high-quality care.
We are still completing a full review of all service fees for our practice. These will be advertised on our website and in practice once completed.
