Thank you for following my page. Due to an increase in bookings and me taking on volunteer work, my massage books are now closed to new clients. If you have been a client over the last couple of years you will receive an email shortly. I'm still massaging but appointment spaces will be limited.

Thank you to everyone who offered thoughts, prayers, flowers, meals and just general kindness after my beautiful Mum passed away. Our family has never felt so loved at such a heartbreaking time. I will now be taking on a small caseload of clients again.

Yes it's that time of year again! 🎄🎊🎅
I will be working until December 23rd and then I'm taking a well earned 3 weeks off, returning on Monday January the 16th.

One comment I regularly get from clients post-massage is "I feel like I could just float out of the room".

That floating feeling is not the result of any secret magic performed behind the scenes 🧙‍♀️ but from your nervous system moving from sympathetic (fight/flight/freeze) mode to parasympathetic (rest/digest/repair) mode. We should move between the two using the sympathetic to rev us up for intensive exercise, nailing that deadline or that once in a lifetime concert and the parasympathetic to calm back down. The feeling of chronic stress comes from being stuck in fight/flight/freeze mode well after the intense activity is over. Massage is just one tool to help with calming your whole being down (others include deep breathing, mindfulness, time in nature etc). I love relaxation massage as it works on muscle, mind and emotion to generate a feeling of well being.

As a preventative measure I have decided to take a break from massage for the next couple of months. This was a very hard decision as I love working with all my clients ❤ but I must put my family's wellness first. Hope to be back at the start of the next school term (May 2022)

This year has been very challenging to say the least but we've made it through thanks to you all!
