Lastly welcome to Aiko Uemura

My name is Aiko I’m a 4th year Physio student. I’m from Japan and have been in New Zealand for a while. I enjoy outdoor activities; open water swimming, hiking (I’m trying to complete all 11 of New Zealand’s Great Walks) and unicycling. I enjoy learning how the muscular-skeletal system functions and am interested in holistic approach from mechanical improvement to relaxation. I have a degree in Sport Science and a certificate as a massage therapist!!

Lastly big welcome to Johnny Lisle

Johnny is a 4th year Physio Student who is looking forward to helping his patients with their road to recovery. Johnny enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach and exploring the outdoors. He is actively involved in the community being a sports medic with a local rugby team as well as being a volunteer firefighter. Johnny is currently involved with a mentoring program (KROT) and is learning Te Reo Māori.

We have 4th year students back in the clinic for 2024! All of the students for rotation 1 will be introduced across the week but let’s start with Vicky Sterritt.

Vicky is a 4th year physio student who is excited to help a range of people on their journey to recovery. She is passionate about empowering people to self-manage in realistic ways. Vicky enjoys getting out into nature, hiking, biking and on the water paddling.
