Lad’s Coffee Connection

Lad’s Coffee Connection Lad’s Coffee Connection offers a safe haven for men in our community facing mental health challenges, depression or suicidal thoughts.

It’s a welcoming space where men can heal, feel safe, loved, and receive the care and support our men deserve.

Sometimes the smallest check-in can make the biggest difference.

A message.
A coffee.
A walk.
A gym session.
A surf.
A run around the block.

It doesn’t always have to be a deep conversation or the “perfect” words. A lot of the time, just showing up for your mates is enough to remind them they’re not alone.

We live in a world where everyone looks connected online, but so many people still feel isolated in silence. Especially men. We get told to “push through it”, keep busy, stay tough, and not speak up when things feel heavy. But real strength is being able to check in on the people around you and also being honest when you’re struggling yourself.

You never truly know what someone is carrying behind closed doors.

That mate who’s gone quiet.
That friend who jokes about everything.
That guy who says he’s “all good” every single time you ask.

Sometimes they need someone to simply ask twice.

This is your reminder today to reach out to someone. Invite them for a coffee. Ask them for a walk. Train together. Go for a drive. Sit in silence if you have to. Human connection matters more than we realise.

And if you’re the one struggling right now, this is your reminder too:
You do not have to do life alone.

At Lads Coffee Connection we believe conversations change lives. Community changes lives. One genuine check-in can change the direction of someone’s entire week.

Small reminder. Huge purpose 💙

WE DID IT 💙

I’ve officially hit my goal for my HYROX Sydney mental health fundraiser and I genuinely can’t put into words how grateful I am.

What started as just an idea turned into something so much bigger because of all of you. Every donation, every message, every share, it all added up and reminded me how many good people are out there willing to support something that truly matters.

Mental health is something that affects so many of us, and knowing we’ve been able to raise awareness and funds together means everything to me.

With the race in July getting closer, I’ll be carrying all of this support with me. This isn’t just my race anymore, it’s ours. 🫂

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I won’t forget this ❤️

Mental health is something that affects so many people, yet it is still something that too many people struggle with in silence.

This year I am taking on HYROX Sydney as part of the HIA Race for Impact, raising money and awareness for mental health. I wanted this challenge to be about more than just crossing a finish line. I wanted it to stand for something that genuinely matters.

“Mental health is a basic human right.”

Those words on this graphic are exactly why I am doing this.
We all know someone who has struggled. A mate, a family member, a work colleague, or maybe even ourselves. Too often people feel like they have to put on a brave face, bottle everything up, and deal with things alone. But no one should have to.

Mental health deserves the same support, understanding and attention as physical health. Everyone deserves to feel heard, supported and valued.

That is why I am fundraising through my HYROX race. Every training session, every early morning and every hard workout is for something much bigger than me. I am racing to help support better mental health services, awareness and conversations, and to remind people that it is okay to ask for help.

If you are able to, I would really appreciate any donation, big or small. Every dollar helps and every share means more people see this message.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me so far. Let’s raise awareness, raise funds, and remind people that they are never alone. 💙

Please take a moment to check in on someone around you. Send a message. Make a phone call. Ask how they are really doing.

Because sometimes the smallest conversation can change everything.

Hey Lad's💙

This July, I’m taking on a HYROX race in Sydney, not just as a fitness challenge, but to raise money for mental health through the HIA Race for Impact.

Mental health is something that hits close to home for a lot of people, and it’s a big reason why I started Lad’s Coffee Connection, a simple, no-pressure space where people can show up, grab a coffee, come for a run and connect.

No expectations, just good people and real conversations.
Too many people feel like they have to handle things on their own. I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when people just have somewhere to go and someone to talk to.

This race is my way of pushing myself physically, while supporting something that genuinely matters in our community.
If you’re in a position to support, I’d really appreciate it, even a small donation makes a difference. And if not, sharing this goes a long way too.
